Reading and writing are so important!
Kids learn confidence and self-efficacy by developing their literacy skills. In our program, we have discussions about what they read and then they choose a question to answer in their journal.

We also like to play a few games when we can 🌞 What was the last book you read?

Happy Thursday from Mentoring!

Who says learning is boring?!

We made "monster hands" - showing our mentees the power of breathing. We can "breathe out" our frustration, helping calm and regulate our emotions.

Writing down our thoughts is a great way to calm ourselves and relax.
How, you ask? because we can take the "jumble" of thoughts in our head and organize them. This helps us process as well as increase our literacy! ✍🤸‍♂️

Another reason why mentoring matters.
