It’s International Walk🚶🏼‍♂️‍➡️🚶🏼‍♀️‍➡️to School Day!

As kids walk, bike, and roll to school, staying alert around traffic is an important part of getting there safely.

👱🏼‍♀️🧑🏽Teenagers are now at greatest risk for fatal pedestrian injury. Their death rate is twice that of younger children, and teens account for half of all child pedestrian deaths.

❤️🩶💙Help kids, especially teenagers, stay focused when they’re near traffic:
✅Put ☎️ phones, headphones and other devices down when crossing the street. This is especially important to reinforce with teenagers.
✅👀 Stay alert for cars that are turning or backing up. 🚘 Drivers may not always see children 👶🏾 👧🏼
