Molalla River Middle School's Career Exposure Program is hosting a unique workshop for those interested in logging or forestry — Molalla's own bread and butter.
This experience is on October 29th and will be held at the middle school. Students enrolled in this workshop will use VR simulations to drive heavy logging machinery. You will also be able to check out the high-tech tools they use and learn about all of the careers forestry and logging have to offer.
This event is open to 7th- and 8th-grade students, with 8th graders given priority. To be eligible, you must be passing all classes with a C or higher and have no more than 1 referral in the four weeks leading up to the event. Students who receive a referral for defiance, bullying or harassment, fighting, or drugs or alcohol are disqualified.

Here is another great workshop offered to our 7th- and 8th-grade students at Molalla River Middle School through our Career Exposure Program. If you are interested in construction, whether it be working with wood or brick, this workshop has your name on it.
Students will be learning how to frame walls and build brick walls. Not just by listening, but by actually doing.
Our workshops and field trips are unique in this way. We believe the best way for you to learn is to get your hands dirty and do the exact things the folks actually do while on the job.
