š¦ Weekly Point of Safety: See Tracks? Think TrainĀ® Week
September 21ā27 is See Tracks? Think TrainĀ® Week, a nationwide reminder to make safe choices around railroad tracks and trains.
According to Operation Lifesaver, a person or vehicle is struck by a train every three hours in the United States, and more than 60% of collisions occur at crossings equipped with lights or gates.
Whether you are driving to a project, walking a right of way, or working near railroad property, remember:
Always expect a traināfrom either direction and at any time.
Never drive around lowered gates or ignore flashing lights.
Do not stop on the tracks; enter only when there is enough room to clear them completely.
Never walk along railroad tracks or use them as a shortcut.
Do not assume tracks are inactive.
If a vehicle becomes stuck, exit immediately, move away from the tracks, and call the number on the blue Emergency Notification System sign or 911.
Trains cannot stop quickly or swerve to avoid a collision. Saving a few minutes is never worth risking a life.
See Tracks? Think Train. Stop Track Tragedies.

SinglePoint is excited to see the Georgia Chapter of the American Public Works Association launch its first-ever Girls in Public Works Day on October 3, 2026!
Hosted in partnership with Georgia DOT LTAP, this statewide event will introduce high school girls to the many career opportunities available in public works. Through hands-on activities, equipment demonstrations, presentations, and networking, students will connect with female professionals, local governments, colleges, technical schools, and industry leaders.
Initiatives like this are essential to building the future workforce, increasing awareness of infrastructure and public-service careers, and creating pathways to future mentorship and job-shadowing opportunities.
Congratulations to the Georgia Chapter APWA and Georgia DOT LTAP for investing in the next generation of women in public works. We are excited to see this initiative take shape and grow across Georgia!

š¹ Weekly Point of Safety: Bow Season Awareness
Georgiaās archery season opened Saturday, which means increased hunting activity near wooded areas, rural properties, and utility rights-of-wayāespecially around dawn and dusk.
According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, 12 of the 23 reported hunting incidents during the 2024ā2025 season involved tree stands, accounting for more than half of all incidents. While these statistics relate to hunters, they are an important reminder that everyone working near active hunting areas must remain alert.
When working on the right-of-way:
⢠Always wear your required high-visibility safety vest.
⢠Stay alert for hunters, vehicles, tree stands, blinds, and other signs of activity.
⢠Be especially cautious during early-morning and late-afternoon hours.
⢠Know your work location and communicate your presence with your crew.
⢠Never assume you can be seenāmake visibility and awareness a priority.
Stay visible. Stay alert. Stay safe.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the heroes who answered the call, and recognize the courage and compassion shown by so many in the days that followed.
May we never forget the victims, their families, our first responders, and all who have served and sacrificed in defense of our nation.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. šŗšø

This Labor Day, we honor the generations of hardworking men and women whose dedication, skill, and perseverance have helped build and strengthen our communities.
While most recognize it as the end of summer, Labor Day was established to recognize the contributions and achievements of American workers and the labor movement, which helped establish many of the workplace protections we value today. The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City, in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union.
From all of us at SinglePoint, thank you to our employees, partners, clients, and professionals across every industry. We hope you enjoy a safe and well-deserved Labor Day!
Our offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.
