ULM English Program

Here are more photos from Ms. Rivera's Introduction to English Studies course, where students took on the role of a college professor and created a course description for an English Course that reflects their personal interests and/or research interests.

Last week, Sigma Tau Delta hosted its annual Banned Books Reading. Students, faculty, and community members read passages from books that have been banned somewhere at some time.

Some of the books shared include the following:
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
Tender Is the Flesh
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
All Quiet on the Western Front
The God of Small Things
The Prophet
Gone with the Wind
Bertolt Brecht's poem "The Burning of the Books."

Celebrate National Banned Books Week by reading one of these!

Congratulations to Dr. Patrick Morgan on the publication of his latest poem, "Dream of the Dead." It was published this past week in the Fall 2026 issue of Amsterdam Review. This poem is particularly special to him because it's his first Louisiana poem. The bird he writes about was last sighted in Louisiana.
