The largest meat company in America has been quietly investing in lab grown meat since 2018. Tyson Foods is the primary chicken supplier for: McDonald’s KFC Taco Bell Walmart Great Value chicken Kroger private-label chicken When you order McNuggets or KFC chicken, chances are, the bird came from Tyson. The world’s biggest chicken producer has also been heavily investing into lab grown meat behind the scenes. Lab grown meat has been federally approved by the FDA & USDA, backed by billions in funding. UPSIDE, a company Tyson helped fund, was one of just two cleared to sell it. Tyson invested in Memphis Meats (now UPSIDE Foods) alongside Bill Gates. It later invested in Israeli biotech Future Meat, now Believer Meats.
