“Put ice on anything that hurts.”

Us: say less 🥶😂

But seriously… recovery is where the magic happens. The hard workouts give your body the reason to adapt. Sleep, nutrition, hydration, mobility, and rest are what allow it to actually happen.

It’s not just about how hard you can train. It’s about how well you recover from the hard work.

Train hard. Recover harder. And maybe don’t actually jump into a giant pile of snow. 😂

Things I’d tell you if you’re new to CrossFit 👇

1️⃣ You don’t need to be “in shape” before you start.
That’s literally what we’re here for. 😎

2️⃣ Nobody is judging you.
Seriously. We’re all too busy trying to remember what rep we’re on. 😂

3️⃣ You’re allowed to scale EVERYTHING.
Different weight. Different movement. Different reps. Different intensity. The goal is to find what works for you.

4️⃣ You will probably be sore.
But sore doesn’t mean destroyed. You don’t need to crawl out of the gym to have a good workout. We’re playing the long game.

5️⃣ You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from strength training.
Actually… you don’t have to be a CrossFit person either. Strength is for everybody. Building muscle, maintaining bone density, improving balance, protecting your joints, and staying capable as you get older? That matters WAY more than how much you can lift.

6️⃣ You’re probably capable of more than you think.
Not because we’re going to throw you into the deep end. Because we’ll meet you where you are, coach you through it, and help you build from there.

And honestly? I think almost everyone should have some form of strength training in their life.

You don’t need to become a competitive athlete.
You don’t need to chase PRs every week.
You don’t need to love burpees. 😂

You just need to give your future self a stronger body to work with.

If you’ve been nervous to try CrossFit, consider this your sign. Come as you are. We’ll take it from there.

POV: You walk into the gym and see nothing but barbells.

OH. IT’S A GOOD DAY. 😤🔥

There’s something about a strength day that just hits different.

Cardio is great. We love getting the heart rate up and building that engine. But strength training is a HUGE part of being fit for life.

Getting stronger means being more capable. Moving better. Building muscle. Supporting your joints and bones. And, honestly… picking up heavy stuff is just freaking fun. 😂

You don’t have to be chasing a world record. You don’t have to lift crazy heavy.

Just show up.
Move some weight.
Get a little stronger.
Repeat.

Barbells out. Good vibes on. Let’s lift. 💪

Today, we come together.

Not just to work out, but to remember. To honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless people who showed incredible courage and selflessness that day.

The 9/11 Memorial Workout is a small way for our CrossFit Monroe community to pause, come together, and make sure we never forget.

We sweat together. We struggle together. We remember together.

🇺🇸 Never forget.

5AM. 😮‍💨

While most of the world is still negotiating with their alarm clock, this crew is already LOCKED IN.

The 5AM crew might be our most consistent group, and honestly… it takes a special kind of person to choose fitness at an hour when coffee hasn’t even had a chance yet. 😂

They show up. They put in the work. They get it done. And then they go take on the rest of their day.

But here’s the thing — 5AM isn’t for everyone. And that’s okay.

We’ve got classes throughout the day to fit real life:
🌅 Early morning
☀️ Late morning
🥪 Noon
🌙 Evening

Different schedules. Different lives. Same goal: make time for yourself.

Whether you’re a 5AM psychopath, a lunch-break lifter, or someone who comes alive at 6PM… there’s a spot for you here.

Find your time. Show up. Get better. 💪

You already know it’s going to be hard.

Some days, it might be the hardest thing you’ve ever done.

Do it anyway.

Not for the person next to you.
Not for the number on the whiteboard.
Not for anyone else.

Do it for you.

Commit to yourself. Commit to your future self. The version of you who is going to look back and be damn glad you didn’t quit.

Because I’ve never seen someone regret investing in themselves.

It takes time. It takes work. It takes showing up when you’d rather not.

So choose the hard thing.
Put in the time.
Keep showing up.

Your future self is counting on you. 🫵

Injured? Cool. We’ll adapt. 😎

Our athlete tore their Achilles (not doing CrossFit 😂), had surgery, and is now figuring out what training looks like for the time being.

Could that be a reason to stop coming to the gym? Sure.

But around here, we’d rather figure out what you CAN do.

Our coaches love getting creative and finding ways to adapt workouts to fit where you’re at — whether that means changing a movement, modifying the range of motion, swapping an exercise, or completely rethinking the workout.

Your training doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s.

Temporary limitation? Ongoing limitation? We’ll find a way.

That’s the beauty of having coaches who know how to adapt training to the person standing in front of them.

You bring yourself.
We’ll figure out the rest. 💪

“Sorry, it’s hard to hear you… I’m kind of busy.” 💅

Busy getting stronger.
Busy showing up.
Busy making time for yourself.

Because yeah, life is busy. Work is busy. Kids are busy. Everything is busy.

But somehow… we always find time for the things that matter.

So go ahead. Put “get your butt to the gym” on the calendar. 😂

See you at CrossFit Monroe. 👊

Deadlift PRs hit a little different. 💪🔥

Big weight. Big effort. BIG smiles.

Celebrating everyone who put in the work, trusted the process, and pulled something off the floor that they hadn’t before. Whether it was 5 pounds or 50, every PR is proof that consistency adds up.

Proud of you guys. Keep pulling. 😤

Give yourself 3 months.

Not one workout.
Not one week.
Not “I’ll try it and see how it goes.”

Actually commit.

Commit to showing up.
Commit to doing the work.
Commit to making the changes you know you need to make.
Most importantly, commit to yourself.

Then look back 3 months from now.

You might be surprised by how much can change when you stop looking for a quick fix and start building a different version of yourself.

Give yourself 3 months. You might not even recognize who you’ve become.
