We are a therapeutic exercise program created for breast cancer survivors to improve mobility, stren

Helping patients achieve independence and restore mobility and strength are the primary goals of the Pink Ribbon Program. We help to restore physiological function and QOL by addressing the side effects of surgery/treatment such as lymphedema, decreased cardiovascular function, immobility and postural changes. Cancer diagnosis and treatment can be physiologically and psychologically debilitating.

Pilates Method as a complementary activity reduces myofascial stiffness and pain in women with breast cancer undergoing aromatase inhibitor therapy: a randomized controlled trial.

Conclusion:
A supervised PM-based intervention may improve selected treatment-related musculoskeletal outcomes in BC women receiving AI. The observed reductions in thoracic extensor M-FS (Th3, Th7), accompanied by enhancements in quality of life, substantiate the potential clinical significance of Pilates-based physiotherapy as an adjunctive rehabilitation approach within this population. Given its observed analgesic effects, the PM may represent a complementary supportive strategy alongside guideline-recommended aerobic and resistance training interventions in oncology rehabilitation.

Effectiveness of Pilates on the range of motion of upper limbs in women with breast cancer.
*******************
Background & Objective: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide, accounting for one-third of all cancers in women. Despite advances in treatment methods, complications such as reduced range of motion, muscle weakness, pain, and lymphedema have been reported. The present study was conducted with aim to examine the effectiveness of Pilates exercises on the range of motion of the upper limbs in breast cancer patients.
Materials & Methods: In this meta-analysis, we searched Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane, Science Direct, Magiran and SID databases using the keywords: “breast cancer”, “Pilates”, “mastectomy” and “meta-analysis” without any time restrictions. The Q statistic and I² index were used to assess heterogeneity among the selected articles. Data analysis was performed using Stata Ver 14.
Results: By combining the results of four final studies, it was shown that Pilates exercises have significant positive impact on the range of motion of the upper limbs in women with breast cancer. The effect size was positive SMD=2.89, (P

The life-force of the Pink Ribbon Program is to ensure that every woman has the ability to regain a sense of wellbeing that had been lost from diagnosis through surgery and into recovery. This can be achieved, in part, through an exercise therapy programme designed specifically for the needs and challenges facing the growing number of breast cancer survivors.
