Summer Sings is community. Bringing together people who love to sing just for the joy it brings to our lives.

Last night we brought together a fine group of singers to collaborate on Beethoven’s Mass in C. Check out what a Summer Sings experience with the Masterwork Chorus is like!

A huge thank you to conductor Steven Sands and accompanist David Maiullo for leading us through this beautiful work, and to our soloists — soprano Kristin Sands, alto Mary Pat Finucane, tenor Adam Cromer, and bass Robin Tae Lee — for their gorgeous singing.

And thank you to the nearly 80 singers and all the audience members who joined us. This was our last Summer Sing of the season, and what a way to close it out. See you next summer!

🎹 Thank You, David Maiullo! 🎶

As we prepare for our final Summer Sing of the season, we'd like to take a moment to recognize someone who has been an essential part of this summer's music-making.

David Maiullo has been our accompanist for four of this year's six Summer Sings, bringing extraordinary artistry, professionalism, and unwavering support every week. Quite simply, we couldn't have done it without him.

An internationally respected collaborative pianist, David has performed in more than 3,000 recitals and has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall, and venues throughout Europe and Japan. Opera Now Magazine praised him as a "pianist of sentiment, discretion and style."

To us, however, David is much more than an accomplished musician. He is the steady musical foundation that allows our singers to perform with confidence, grace, and joy. His artistry, generosity, and dedication have made this Summer Sings season truly special.

Thank you, David, for sharing your incredible talent with Masterwork Chorus. We are so grateful for everything you've contributed this summer.

Join us for one final evening of music as David accompanies Stephen Sands, our outstanding soloists, and everyone who comes together to sing Beethoven's Mass in C.

For us, Mary Pat Finucane is both.

As our beloved Alto Section Leader, Mary Pat does so much more than sing beautifully. Week after week, she keeps our altos organized with thoughtful notes, encouragement, and incredible attention to detail. She is always looking out for us, helping each singer be their very best. The Alto section truly shines because of her leadership, generosity, and musicianship.

We're thrilled to welcome her back as one of our featured soloists for Beethoven's Mass in C.

Mary Pat holds a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University and has performed with renowned ensembles including the Chicago Symphony Chorus, The Music of the Baroque, Ravinia Festival, National Chorale, and many others.
