💓 National Health Care Week 💓

In honor of National Health Care Week, staff from Coastal Family Health Center hung out with us during lunch today to educate our Tigers on student wellness.

Students were greeted with a smile and left with a treat and informative packets with helpful strategies to improve their sleep habits, strengthen positive habits, build healthy coping skills and more!

Thank You to Coastal Family Health Center for spending their day with us and spreading positivity!

Tiger Alert!

The Moss Point School District Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Michael Battle to serve as our next superintendent, beginning August 17, 2026.

With more than 20 years of experience as a teacher, principal and district-level administrator, Dr. Battle brings a strong commitment to student achievement, high expectations, meaningful relationships and accountability.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the Moss Point School District,” Dr. Battle said. “I look forward to working with the Board, employees, families, and community to strengthen student achievement and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.”

Dr. Battle currently serves as Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Schools for the Hattiesburg Public School District. His leadership in teacher recruitment, retention and school operations helped support the district’s advancement from a “D” to an “A” accountability rating.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Battle, his wife, Fanneta, and their daughter, Sloane Elizabeth, to the Moss Point family! We look forward to working together to continue moving our district forward and creating opportunities for every student to succeed.

📣 Attention MPHS Football Parents!

There will be a MPHS Football Parent Meeting on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in the MPHS Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.

Your attendance is strongly encouraged as we will discuss important information regarding the upcoming football season, team expectations, schedules, and other essential updates.

We look forward to seeing all football parents there as we work together to support a successful season. Go Tigers! 🐯

📣 Moss Point High School Cheer Camp 📣

Our MPHS Varsity Cheerleaders traveled to UCA Cheer Camp at the University of Southern Mississippi shortly before school began and came home with some hardware!

MPHS Varsity Cheerleaders won the "Top Banana" award on Day 2 for having the most spirit! They received a 3rd Place trophy in spirit routine and 3rd Place trophy in camp routine for their performances!

Our girls also received the Traditions Award. This is an award that is voted on by the UCA staff. Throughout the duration of the camp, staff members look for the team that stands out above the rest. Moss Point was selected for consistently being on time and working hard, while displaying excellent spirit throughout the week.

These ladies showed up loud and proud, while representing Moss Point High School with excellence! We are proud of our MPHS Varsity Cheerleaders and are looking forward to the upcoming football season!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our parents, students, and teachers who joined us for our MPHS Freshman Orientation! Your enthusiasm, support, and commitment made the evening a tremendous success.

It was exciting to welcome the Class of 2030 to the Tiger family as students met our administration, connected with teachers, picked up their schedules, and began preparing for an incredible high school journey.

The energy in the room has us even more excited for the year ahead! We look forward to building strong relationships, celebrating achievements, and creating unforgettable memories together.
