We are thrilled to share a new grant opportunity from the Mississippi Humanities Council! The Mississippi Stories Grant will support projects that preserve and share the firsthand stories of people across Mississippi. Funded by the Mississippi Legislature and the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, this new program encourages organizations to bring these stories to life through exhibits, podcasts, documentary films, digital storytelling, oral history projects, and more.
Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded three times each year, and no matching funds will be required during 2026 and 2027. We hope this makes it even easier for organizations to create projects that connect people with Mississippi's history and culture.
