Still figuring out the final plans for this piece, but I like how it’s looking so far! I’m trying to leave a bit of space in the kiln each time for for firing some non-production experimental art pieces.

Finishing up a large order of bottle openers and working on restocking all of my awesome retailers. Time management is always harder in the summer months when the kids are off school, but I’m still managing to fit some studio time in!

Huge restock headed to in Sylva, North Carolina, included these new suede bracelets. The glass is fused with sand from the Nantahala River (we collected some last year after family rafting trip at the ) More of these to come for sure, because I’m loving this style!

Just finished up this custom platter for a wall hanging for a wonderful couple remodeling their house. Always fun to work on custom pieces!

Certain pieces look very different with light behind them! This one is going to be fun to play with!

To say I get excited about this every year is an understatement. Since the first event ten years ago, I have had the privilege of designing and making the finishers’ necklaces for Triathlon here in Mount Pleasant. This isn’t just about sport-it’s a celebration of women, and women empowering and cheering on each other, which we need a lot more of in this world! If you’re thinking about doing it-do it-you won’t regret it! Or, if you want to just be there to celebrate with everyone and soak in the good vibes, volunteer! (It’s super fun) And you’ll all love what I’m designing this year 😉And for the tenth I’ll be doing double duty-set up to sell at the event and there to race! 🩷

A little of “What I make”. If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll remember that I usually participate in “March Meet the Maker” but this March is crazier than usual, so I’m catching up where I can! The good news is that I’ve been up to some fun new things in the studio. Stay tuned for more, but in the meantime catch up with glimpses of daily studio life in my stories!

A little behind the scenes peek into something that went into the kiln yesterday. This will spend about 10+ hours in the kiln, firing to about 1500° and it will feel like forever until it’s cooled enough to open the kiln. I’m not very patient about seeing the results, but it’s necessary—open the kiln too soon and I’ll risk cracking pieces that I’ve spent a lot of time on!
