Building more than great sites. ๐Ÿ
Last Friday, members of our Charleston team rolled up their sleeves for the annual Sea Island Habitat for Humanity home build! We had a blast working together and lending a hand in a community weโ€™re proud to call home.
This volunteer day is part of the Vibrancy pillar of Green Square, our company-wide philanthropic initiative focused on improving the quality of life in the communities where we live and work.
Thank you to Sea Island Habitat for Humanity for having us. Weโ€™re always grateful for the opportunity to get out of the office and give back!

One year down, with a lot to look forward to in Columbia! ๐ŸŽ‰

Weโ€™re thankful for every project, partnership, and connection that has been part of our first year. We canโ€™t wait to see what year two brings!

We recently joined the City of Charleston and project partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Fort Pemberton Park on James Island!

With a historic Civil War-era fort to preserve and a shellfish harvesting bed nearby, thoughtful planning and design were key. Our team supported the project from concept through construction, helping navigate the siteโ€™s unique historical and environmental considerations along the way.

Weโ€™re proud to see this new waterfront space open for the community to enjoy.

Building careers across the Carolinas starts with building connections.

In a recent GroundBreak Carolinas article, SW+โ€™s Jasmine Hawkins shares how our SWAp program is helping people step outside their home offices, learn from different teams, and build relationships across the firm as we continue to grow.

Breaking ground on a new chapter for a familiar Hanahan corner! ๐Ÿšง

A few weeks ago, we celebrated the start of construction on Blackwells Corner, a new mixed-use development taking shape on the former site of Blackwell Hardware, a longtime part of the Hanahan community.

SW+ provided master planning for Blackwells Corner and is also providing surveying, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and construction administration alongside Hill Construction and Bello Garris Architects.

As one of the first projects supporting the cityโ€™s vision for a new city center, weโ€™re excited to see whatโ€™s ahead for this corner of Hanahan!

A lot to unpack from our trip to LA. ๐ŸŒด

Our landscape architects left ASLA 2026 with fresh perspectives on storytelling, technical design, collaboration, technology, and the role the Southeast can play in the conversation.

Here are five takeaways that stuck with them.

Tribute Trail: Kenny Mile to Honor Visionary Community Leader - Mount Pleasant Magazine 09/23/2026

A lasting legacy, one mile at a time.

Mount Pleasant Magazine recently highlighted the Kenny Mile, a section of the Mount Pleasant Way trail system named in honor of SW+ co-founder Kenny Seamon and his decades of service to the community.

Weโ€™re grateful to see Kennyโ€™s impact recognized in a way that reflects so much of what he has championed throughout his career: thoughtful growth, meaningful connections, and a lasting investment in the Lowcountry.

This yearโ€™s tournament has special meaning for us. Last yearโ€™s champions, Kyle and Dan from SeamonWhiteside, earned not only the belt and bragging rights, but the opportunity to select the organization that will benefit from this yearโ€™s event. They chose ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐Š๐ž๐ง๐ง๐ฒ ๐Œ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž ๐…๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.

Every dollar raised through the tournament will go directly to the Foundation and our work to champion the construction and long-term care of greenways throughout the Mount Pleasant Way.

What happens when you take AutoCAD out of the computer? ๐Ÿšง

Our Grading Workshop made its way to Charleston, where 37 engineers across four groups put CAD concepts into practice in the field. Using string to recreate AutoCAD lines outside, they explored how decisions made on the computer impact real-world site conditions and why a well-organized project setup matters from the start.

Another great round of hands-on learning, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing!
