Two AI site builders, the same five-page brief, and what worried us most in both wasn't what they got wrong. It was what they made up.
We invented a dog grooming studio called Waggle & Trim and handed the brief to both.
Wix took about five minutes and built a lot:
✅ five pages
✅ a working inquiry form
✅ three blog posts.
It also added fourteen pages nobody had asked for, after quietly installing two of its own apps behind the scenes.
SeedProd's AI was done in 22.5 seconds. It hands you a foundation rather than a finished site, so the blog sat empty and the contact details came through as placeholders.
Both of them then filled gaps with things that were never in the brief, and one of the two published a contact address that doesn't exist anywhere.
Neither flags what it invented, which is why the last job is always yours:
❗️Check every email, phone number and web address before anything goes live.
We built the same site by hand in both afterwards, timed both, and priced both routes properly.
Which one we'd put a real business on is in the comments.

What if you could build a landing page without picking a template, choosing a font, or setting a single color? Yes that's possible.
Here's the whole brief we gave it: build a landing page for a spring potting workshop with a hero headline, a short intro, an email signup form and a countdown timer, matching the site's look.
What came back was a real SeedProd page. It used SeedProd's own styling defaults rather than guessing, saved the normal way, and sat in the pages list like anything else.
The headline was flat, so we asked for a better one and a clearer button. Both were live before we thought to check.
All of it from a plain-text chat in the AI tool you already use, through WPVibe, our free plugin. You approve every change before it goes live, and SeedProd keeps its revision history, so anything you don't like is one undo away.
Sounds odd? It did to us too.

If you're eyeing Divi alternatives because of the AI, here's the useful way to think about it.
They all have real AI in the builder now, so that's not the deciding factor. What actually matters is fit: how fast you get to a live site, how much design control you want, and what you're willing to pay.
I lined up 7 and sorted them by what each is best for. SeedProd is my pick if you want a live site the fastest, but the right answer honestly depends on you.

We timed it. From a few sentences about a florist shop to a finished WordPress site was 4 minutes and 40 seconds.
We gave Claude Code the basics, hit go, and just watched. The homepage, About, Services, Contact, and a working blog all appeared one after another, and they matched each other straight away.
The best bit is we never opened the WordPress editor once. No dragging blocks around, no fixing the header and footer on every single page.
SeedProd is what actually builds each page in the background. Its Theme Builder is the reason everything shares the same header, footer, and menu instead of looking like a pile of random pages.
If you've ever lost a weekend to setting up a site, this one's worth a look.
Would you let AI take the first pass at yours?

Quick one worth clearing up: a lot of people think SeedProd is just a landing page tool. Fair enough, that's usually where you first meet it. Coming soon pages, sales pages, that sort of thing.
But the Theme Builder changed the story. You can design your whole WordPress site in it now: a header and footer that show on every page, your homepage, your blog layout, even the template your single posts use.
All visually, no code, and no separate theme to buy.
So if SeedProd is still filed under "landing pages" in your head, it's worth another look.
We walk through building a full custom theme (no code) here: https://www.seedprod.com/how-to-create-custom-wordpress-theme-without-code/
Which part would you rebuild first, your homepage or your blog?
We get this one a lot. Someone's trying to pick an AI landing page builder, and every list tells them something different.
Here's the part almost none of them mention. It's not which tool is smartest, it's where the finished page actually lives.
Build it on a hosted platform and the page sits on a subdomain you don't own, so it's hard to move and it builds their SEO, not yours.
Build it on WordPress and it lives on your own domain (SeedProd for a visual build, or our free WPVibe plugin if you'd rather just tell an AI what to do).
So before you shortlist a single tool, work out where the page needs to live.

Asking ChatGPT for help with my WordPress site always ended the same way: it gave me text to paste in. It never touched the actual site.
Last week that changed. I connected ChatGPT with a free plugin called WPVibe, and now it builds real pages for me. Free ChatGPT account, no code, about ten minutes to set up.
I described a signup page in plain English and it came back with a proper SeedProd draft, styled to match my homepage, with a working form. Your login password never goes into the chat, and new pages default to draft, so nothing goes live without you.
The lesson that stuck: the better your brief, the better the page.
Have you let AI do the real work on your site yet, or just the writing?

I used to think a low coming soon page conversion rate meant the page was broken. Turns out the page was usually fine. The traffic was the story.
When I pulled the numbers by traffic source, the gap was huge. Cold organic visitors who'd never heard of the brand signed up at 1-3%. Warm audiences, people already following along, converted at 10-30% and higher. Same page, completely different outcome.
That changes what you fix first. Instead of obsessing over button colors, send better traffic and give people a real reason to sign up. "Get 20% off at launch" beats "be the first to know" every time. Strip the form down to a single email field, and show your live signup count. That little bit of social proof lifted conversions by around 40%.
One more thing that quietly kills signups: load speed. Every extra second costs you roughly 7% of conversions, so aim for under two seconds. I build my coming soon pages in SeedProd partly because the output stays light and loads fast without me touching code.
What's the conversion rate on your last pre-launch page? Curious how it compares.

How do you actually know if your landing page is any good? Most people guess, but there's a real number to check against.
Across 41,000 landing pages, the median conversion rate is 6.6%, and a genuinely good rate sits around 10%. It shifts a lot by industry though.
Ecommerce tends to land between 2.5 and 3.5%, SaaS around 3 to 5%, and webinar signups can hit 20 to 40%. So a 4% SaaS page is doing fine, while a 4% webinar page is leaving money on the table.
When a page underperforms, the fixes are usually boring: cut form fields to the essentials, lead with a clear value proposition, and add real social proof. Loading fast on mobile matters just as much.
I build mine in SeedProd so I can test headline and button changes without touching code.
What's the best conversion rate you've ever gotten on a landing page?
Here's a WordPress admin task I used to put off: the routine update pass. Checking which plugins were current, updating metadata on recently published posts, making sure nothing had slipped into the wrong status.
None of that is technically hard. It's just the kind of work that pulls you out of whatever else you're doing, and costs more in context-switching than actual time.
I set up WPVibe last month. It's a free WordPress plugin that creates an MCP connection between Claude and your site using the Application Password system built into WordPress since version 5.6. Once connected, Claude can draft posts, update metadata, manage categories, check plugin status, and control SeedProd features, all without switching tabs.
The part that made me trust it: new posts go to draft by default, and deletions go to trash. Nothing publishes or deletes permanently without your review.
It runs especially well if you're already in the SeedProd ecosystem. Claude can control SeedProd-specific features through natural language, which is useful when you're in a design or optimization flow and don't want to leave the conversation.
The setup takes about 5 minutes. A paid Claude subscription is required for MCP connections, but WPVibe itself is free.
