MTAC

Most teams prepare for the most common problem. But what happens when the person on the other side is trained and committed?
Changing the training culture means preparing for the hardest problem set, not the easiest one.
That conversation is central to MTAC CQB Instructor Development: building instructors who can challenge assumptions, improve methodology, and develop teams prepared for all four categories.

2027 CLOSED ENROLLMENT REQUESTS ARE NOW OPEN

Planning your agency or organization’s 2027 training calendar?

MTAC Training is now accepting requests for 2027 closed enrollment programs, dedicated agency training, team development, and annual or semi-annual training facility access.

From foundational SWAT and tactical weapons training to CQB instructor development, team audits, medical training, Interior Conflict, and corporate team building, we can work with your organization to identify the right program and build it into your 2027 schedule.

Already have your own instructors and training program? We also offer annual and semi-annual facility access options for agencies and organizations looking for a consistent location to conduct their own training.

Have a training need that does not fit neatly into an existing course? Talk to us. We can discuss your objectives and determine whether MTAC can develop the right solution.

Start the conversation through the contact page at mtactraining.com

2027 dates will be scheduled based on availability.

Basic Pistol isn’t just the lecture you might think.

This class is designed to get you real reps with training tools like the MantisX laser system- so we can build your confidence, break down the fears, and get you real feedback in a calm, low-pressure setting. We keep out the intimidation of live fire that keeps a lot of first-timers on the sidelines, but still get the feel of a real pistol in your hand.

This tool also lets our instructors see any muzzle movement in detail and give you one-on-one coaching — feedback you can see, correct, and carry straight to the live range with real confidence.

Fundamentals first, safety every step of the way. This class is exactly where you’re meant to start.

Big training weekend coming up! Friday and Saturday, the Tier One Series Tactical Weapons Lab runs at the outdoor range two days of r***e work built for shooters who already have their fundamentals down and want to be pushed.

This is what our Tier One Series is about: curriculum with depth, ranges that support real movement, and reps you can’t get on a static line. And back at our indoor facility the same weekend we are hosting a visiting training company!

Today, two IMPD officers and their families are in our thoughts as they begin the road to recovery.

One detail that stands out is the reported use of tourniquets by responding officers. Those life-saving actions don't happen by chance. They are the result of training, repetition, and the willingness to perform under extraordinary pressure.

The officers who applied those tourniquets deserve recognition. Their actions are a reminder that tactical medicine is not an accessory to law enforcement training. It is a core survival skill. The ability to stop life-threatening bleeding in the first few minutes can mean the difference between life and death.

Every officer hopes they never have to use those skills. But when that moment comes, there is no time to learn. You fall back on your training.

We wish both officers a full and speedy recovery, and we thank every first responder whose professionalism and preparedness made a difference today.

Two IMPD officers were shot on the east side of Indianapolis Wednesday night. The incident reportedly occurred in the 8000 block of East 37th Street.
