Families had an amazing time last night learning about Muñeca María and its significance in the Mexican culture. Rag dolls of various types have a long history in Mexico. Some families will use clothing that had been worn by mothers or grandmothers to dress their dolls. We have more opportunities to learn about Mexican culture in October as we create a Community Ofrenda. We will collect pictures of loved ones who have passed until October 16. The Ofrenda will be on display at the library from November 1-6.

Speaking of you won't want to miss The Financial Aid Process coming up on Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30pm. https://fremontlibrary.org/event/16700564

On Monday, we learned about Slime Science. Our patrons learned about the physics and chemistry in relation to slime, and then the opportunity to make their own to bring home! Do your kids love STEM? Make sure to check out STEM In the Stacks in the Youth area of the library to learn about Accessible Engineering the rest of this month.
