The Fremont Ice Cream Shoppe is back! Come enjoy our play space while there is still plenty of summer left.

Wednesday evening, we were joined by Jennifer Evans who led participants through watercolor painting designs from vintage seed packets. The paintings turned out beautifully and we had the opportunity to try out the new Document Camera which will be joining our Library of Things collection soon!

Snack Shack was a great way for our younger patrons to learn how to create a tasty snack at home! Who doesn't love a microwave quesadilla? We have more fun coming up in August. We will celebrate National Friendship Day on Monday, August 3 at 10:00am. Join us for Preschool Art Explorers on Monday, August 10 at 9:30am or 10:30am. And of course there are always a variety of Storytimes that you can join us for!

We are going to be all over Mundelein next week! You can see us at National Night out on Tuesday, August 4 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Courtland Commons. Thursday, August 6 we are hosting Pat Gaughan and Nancy Maio at Tighthead at 7:00pm. Then we'll finish out the week at the Mundelein Farmers Market on Saturday, August 8 from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Make sure to come say hi!

There is still time to finish Summer Library Club! Even if you do not make it to your sixth visit, there are still opportunities to win some great prizes during other visits. Stop into the library to sign up and check in for your visits!

Tweens had a great time creating their starter recipes during 4 Projects in 1 Hour. Our teen events are popular and fill fast, but there are still great ways to have fun at the library. For example, right now we have Mecca Chameleon!
