We had an incredible weekend with our Coastal Church Women Renew Retreat! It was a sweet time of fellowship, encouragement and inspiration as we followed Mary of Bethany’s example to sit at the feet of Jesus. We find all we need in His presence. Thank you to all who helped make this retreat a reality!

We say God is enough. But when he doesn't move on our schedule, we show what we actually believe. We reach for control. We make a god we can see, touch, and manage.

Here's the thing: a god you can control is small enough to fit in your hands, which means a god you can control is not God.

Jesus is better than any god you can build.

Forty days was all it took for Israel to reach for something else.
