Why camp scholarships?

FCA Camps have a profound impact on student-athletes across the Carolinas and right here in Horry County. Last year, 29 FCA Camps across the Carolinas served 6,274 campers.

Horry County FCA hosts three camps each year:

🏕️ High School Multi-Sport Camp in the spring
🎣 Outdoor Camp over Memorial Day weekend
🏕️ Middle School Multi-Sport Camp in the fall

Our High School Camp had 390 campers, and our Middle School Camp had 190 campers. Between those two camps, we saw more than 100 faith decisions, including first-time decisions for Christ and renewed commitments.

Our Outdoor Camp is still new, but in just its second year we had 35 campers and 5 faith decisions.

Camps matter. They give student-athletes an opportunity to get away from the distractions of everyday life, hear the Gospel, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and build relationships with other students and leaders.

Our goal is simple, we never want finances to be the reason a student-athlete misses that opportunity.

Can’t make it Friday, or want to make an additional donation? Visit my.fca.org and search Horry County FCA Scholarship Fund.

A huge thank you to What’s The Scoop and Stella’s Homemade Ice Cream for partnering with us and helping make these opportunities possible!

Students writing out 3 prayer requests for themselves, their school, their family, and their team on note cards this morning as part of SYATP at FCA at Myrtle Beach HS! Then they prayed for them and laid them on the piano alter as a demonstration of their leaving them with the Lord. Praise God for this expression of faith!

The score wasn’t what we prayed for and neither was the rain, but 4 lives given to the Lord is!! ♥️

🏆 FCA Multi-Sport Huddle at Carolina Forest High School!🙌

What a great way to kick things off at Carolina Forest High School! We started with a little competition and fun before diving into our first devotion, led by our Area Rep, Devin Martin.

Devin shared a message reminding students that who we are, what we’re called to do, and where we’re going are all ultimately found in God’s plan for our lives.

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” — Proverbs 19:21

We're so thankful for everyone who came out and participated! Looking forward to seeing what God will continue to do through FCA at Carolina Forest High School! 🙏

What a great first tournament for the Horry County FCA Eagles! 🦅⚾️

We’re proud of the way these boys competed, encouraged one another, came together as a team, and most importantly, had the opportunity to shine their light for the Lord.

Baseball gives us an opportunity to teach a lot more than how to hit, throw and field. We want these young men to learn what it means to be a great teammate, pick each other up, compete the right way and understand that we’re stronger when we work together.

“Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up…”
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (CSB)

This is just the beginning for the Eagles. Excited to see these boys continue to grow together, on and off the field!
