These new curated deep, moody shades are cozy comfort colors!

I currently have 7 pieces of furniture in the studio with custom restyles underway. I’ve spent the better part of the last 2 days on cleaning and repairing an heirloom vanity. Still LOTS to do! But saving something with special meaning is especially satisfying. This client is so excited to be able to include her Nana’s old vanity in her beach house redesign. I am honored to be involved in the transformation.

Today’s adventure includes a dresser and nightstand from my inventory. All the drawers are constructed with solid cedar. She’s a beauty… going coastal in coral.

Pink! Done and dusted. I hope the two young girls will enjoy this special room for many years! New life for old furniture!

This white wicker on wood little dresser and side table would be great for just about any room here in the Carolinas.
[ ] Dresser is 39” wide, 21” deep at the center, and 33” tall. It has 4 drawers and they all work great. The glass top was custom cut to accommodate the curved front.
[ ] The side table is 23” wide, 18” deep, 25” tall. It has a nice drawer and a lower shelf. The design is open through to the back so this one could easily be positioned away from a wall. Great for between two chairs! It also has a protective glass top.

I am such a “look at the moon” person and I have always loved numbers. 👀 so I thought I would share these interesting facts…once in a BLUE MOON 🌝
*** Our (second) full moon for May *** Since we are experiencing a Blue Moon in May, and it being the second full moon within a calendar month, let’s take a brief moment today to reflect on the number 2. It may appear small and unassuming, but upon closer inspection it is quite remarkable. Two is the smallest and, at the same time, the only even prime number – a number divisible only by 1 and itself – and from this mathematical standpoint, it is already quite extraordinary. But what makes the two so omnipresent for us are the two sides, the opposites, all that we as human beings experience in alternation: day and night, warm and cold, inside and outside, but also concepts of true and false, or good and evil. We live in the duality of all things, and this is part of our experience of life. Then there is the pair or couple, the counterpart, the second element with which we enter into relationship, be it another person, an animal, or a cherished object. Something that complements and touches us, forms a counterbalance, or even becomes a mirror. And surely this duality ultimately reflects a longing for unity. One that peacefully reconciles within us all that we experience as separate from ourselves, allowing it to become still …
