Patients with breast cancer at Tidelands Health have trusted Dr. Craig Brackett for more than 30 years. With a vision to help patients get care in their own community, the breast surgeon also found a way to support those patients and their loved ones by creating a breast cancer awareness event.
Now in its 21st year, In the Pink has grown to become the region’s largest breast cancer awareness walk. Join us at this year’s In the Pink event Saturday, Oct. 10, at Brookgreen Gardens. ⚠️ TW: Mention of pregnancy and infant loss
Tidelands Health is standing beside women and families throughout our community during a remembrance ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 15, to honor babies gone too soon and the loved ones who carry their memory each day.
The ceremony will begin at 6:45 p.m. outside Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Together, we will light candles in memory of those lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, and other forms of infant loss, sharing a moment of remembrance, love, and hope.
Whether the loss was recent or many years ago, all are welcome to join us as we honor these precious lives and offer comfort and support to those navigating the lifelong journey of grief.
Light refreshments will follow. Please RSVP to 843-652-1948.

Making a difference: The central sterile team at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital — Rhyana Graham, Taylor Marlow, and Birlean Dease — is known for the care and consistency they bring to their work each day.
They support the operating room, hospital departments, and clinics that rely on reusable instruments and scopes, ensuring each item is cleaned and sterilized properly.
Their work supports infection control and helps keep patients safe across the organization. Though much of their work happens behind the scenes, its impact is clear in the care patients receive.
