Another year has almost gone.
Pack books in small boxes, because they can get very heavy and difficult to move in larger boxes. Your books should always be raised up from the floor of the unit, so moisture doesn't build up and ruin your books.
When renting a storage unit, ask about insurance options for your things. This can protect them from theft or damage while in storage. While your storage facility is likely to have adequate security, insuring your items can protect them from unexpected occurrences like natural disasters.
In order to protect your books' spines, they should be packed flat, and any empty spaces should be filled with packing material. Boxes should be stored on pallets or skids rather than directly on the concrete floor in order to prevent moisture absorption.
When planning how to arrange everything in a storage unit, drawing a simple map can help you place your items in the unit efficiently. This map can also help you find certain items if you need to access them in the future.
For small storage needs for the short term, check out super low rates for temporary mini storage. Extra small units may be rented for weekly or monthly rates to ensure your belongings are safe and secure while they are stowed away.
