OrthoSC was proud to host the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce for Business After Hours and welcome local business and community leaders into our practice.

The evening also gave us the opportunity to introduce two of the newest members of Team OrthoSC, Dr. Farrar and Dr. Catoe! We’re excited for our community to get to know them and for the expertise, energy, and commitment to patient care they bring to the Grand Strand.

I’m seven weeks out from surgery on my left hand, and it’s healing extremely well. I have no pain, the swelling is virtually gone, and I couldn’t be happier with my progress, especially after hiking 22 miles this past weekend.

For those who don’t know how it happened, two nights before Mom passed away, she wasn’t doing well and Dad was having a difficult time. In a moment of overwhelming emotion and frustration, I punched a wall, hit a stud and broke my hand. It certainly wasn’t one of my better decisions, and it’s a mistake I’ll never make again.

Dr. Everman at OrthoSC repaired my fifth metacarpal (the long bone in the hand leading to the pinky finger) by inserting a permanent screw. I’m incredibly grateful that the surgery went well and that my recovery has been so smooth.
