The big day is almost here! We can't wait to celebrate 70 Years of EhCapa with all of you. Here are a few important things to know before you arrive.

📍 Parking:
Please review the parking map before you arrive and follow the directions of our parking attendants. They will help keep traffic moving and get everyone parked safely.

For everyone's safety, the speed limit on the Birt Arena road is 5 MPH. And do not pass other vehicles.

🐎 4:00 PM – Performance:
Join us in the outside arena for a special performance by the 2026 EhCapa team.

- Bleacher seating is available.
- We also recommend bringing your own lawn chair for additional seating and comfort.

🎉 5:00 PM – Celebration Begins:
After the performance, the doors to the indoor arena will open for the 70th Anniversary Celebration.

- Please check in at the registration table located at the celebration entrance.
- You'll receive any needed event information upon arrival.

No problem! You can still join us.

- General admission is $10 per person.
- A limited number of extra meal tickets will be available for purchase at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please leave all pets at home. Only service animals are permitted at the event.

Walk Down Memory Lane 2022

Representing EhCapa in 2022 were Queen Ellie Horsley and Princess Emma Parkinson. The season emphasized rider development, teamwork, and preparation for performances across the West. A new progressive beading program was introduced, allowing riders to complete costume beadwork over several years rather than all at once. Families also enjoyed the Shakedown Campout, jumping clinics, fundraisers, and the traditions that make life on the road so special.

Performances included Sun Valley, Hailey, Eagle Rodeo, Weippe, Treasure Valley Leather Slappers, Friends and Family, and PRCA rodeos in Sterling and Yuma, Colorado. While the back-to-back Colorado trip was remembered for its extreme heat, humidity, and relentless flies, riders pushed through and proudly represented EhCapa. The year ended with a pajama-themed Christmas party and white elephant gift exchange.

In 2023, Queen Elliott Antoniuk, Princess Dani Wilcox, Honored Brave Jayden McFarland, and Mini Princess Sidney Bobo represented the club. Riders continued building their horsemanship and beadwork while traveling farther than ever.

The team performed at the Idaho Horse Expo, Weippe, Othello, Washington, the Western Idaho Fair, Steamboat Springs, Sun Valley, and Mandan Rodeo Days in North Dakota. Mandan became one of the club's most memorable trips, with rain clearing just in time for every performance, ever-changing weather, and an unforgettable Fourth of July fireworks display that surrounded the team with a breathtaking 360-degree view.

Back home, the annual Playday, Friends and Family, and holiday parades in Caldwell and Boise continued long-standing traditions that brought members and the community together.

Whether battling flies in Colorado, watching fireworks in North Dakota, or sharing stories around a campfire, the years 2022 and 2023 proved once again that the greatest part of EhCapa has always been the people. As members often say, the magic truly happens on the road.

Our Story: 70 Years & Counting 🐎

Walk Down Memory Lane: 2019–2021

The years 2019 through 2021 were a time of challenge, change, and resilience for the EhCapa Ba****ck Riders. Through championship achievements, a global pandemic, and a historic transition in club identity, riders continued to represent EhCapa with pride.

Representing the club in 2019 were Queen Aubry Hillman, Princess Kaylina Mautz, Honored Brave Kelton Maxfield, and Mini Princess Dani Wilcox. Riders performed at the Snake River Stampede, Eagle Rodeo, Ellensburg, Washington, Weber County Fair, Nyssa Rodeo, Extreme Bulls, and the Friends & Family Performance. The year ended on a high note when Kelton Maxfield won the Junior NFR Senior World Champion Ba****ck Riding title in Texas.

The momentum of 2019 quickly met unexpected challenges in 2020 as COVID-19 disrupted rodeos, parades, and community events across the country. Despite cancellations and uncertainty, the club continued to perform at the Homedale Fourth of July Parade, New Plymouth Rodeo, Emmett Rodeo, Weippe, Burley, and Friends & Family.

Representing the club in 2020 were Queen Courtney Marshall, Princess Aivry Bobo, Lead Scout Kelton Maxfield, and Mini Princess Brynlee McFarland.

The season also marked one of the most significant changes in modern club history. EhCapa officially transitioned from its longtime Native American-themed costumes to a new Western Heritage identity. New costume standards and horse symbol guidelines were introduced, while the royalty titles Brave and Honored Brave became Scout and Lead Scout. The annual Christmas Party was also reimagined as a drive-in celebration, demonstrating the creativity and determination of the EhCapa family during a difficult year.

By 2021, many events had returned, allowing the club to resume a fuller travel schedule. Representing EhCapa were Queen Courtney Marshall, Princess Olivia Wilcox, Lead Scout Jack Risch, and Mini Princess Addy Vineyard. Riders performed at Tehachapi, California; Eagle Rodeo; Malheur County Fair and Rodeo; Magic Valley Stampede; Crooked River Roundup; and Parade America.
