As a mom, I love watching my kids move, play, and discover what their bodies can do. ❤️ But it also makes me think about the other end of life.

I want our older adults to know that getting older doesn’t mean you have to stop challenging your body.
Strength, balance, and mobility matter because they help you keep doing the things that make life yours, whether that’s traveling, golfing, playing with your grandkids, or simply feeling confident in your own body.

Keep moving. Your future self will thank you. 💪

It’s easy to blame every change on “getting older.” But struggling with everyday movements, losing strength or balance, or feeling constantly exhausted shouldn’t automatically be dismissed as age.

Pay attention to what your body is telling you and take action early so you can keep doing the things you love for years to come.

A torn meniscus does not always mean surgery is your only option. Improving strength, mobility, and movement may help reduce pain and support your knee.

Motivation for movement rarely stays constant, and that is completely normal. What tends to matter more than motivation is having a reason worth returning to, whether that is a Sunday walk with family, a favourite hobby or simply feeling capable in day to day life. Progress is rarely a straight line, and a quieter week does not undo the ones before it. Small, consistent steps, taken with patience rather than pressure, tend to add up to lasting change. A free discovery visit is a chance to talk through goals and find a starting point that feels realistic.

HYROX round 2 and we chose to battle 4,327 feet elevation.

After accomplishing the first Hyrox in April, we continued consistent activity, but took a 3 month break from focused Hyrox training — then, jumped right back in for three months of more intense training than the previous time for this race.

The Monday before Hyrox I found out we competed Friday that week, when the whole training time I thought we competed on a Saturday. Really not a big deal training wise with one day difference, though it was one day less to adjust to the elevation AND… I had just come down with Walker’s lovely cold that same Monday — which mean I had one day less to recover before the race.

We got to SLC and unfortunately my cold turned Upper Respiratory Infection and progressed. I received an IV for hydration, immune boost, and a little push. I rested A LOT. At this point, all I could do was my BEST.

I trained long and hard. I had a time goal in mind and really just wanted to finish in the top 10 of my age group this time.

Battling this upper respiratory sickness AND altitude was tough, but the energy, passion, and community was THERE. It was INSPIRING!

I had a personal record for my time, though not my goal. The best part though, I landed 13/1032 for all women competing and 5th in my age group over all competitors (in my age group 😭). I gave it my all, said “NEVER GIVE UP” a couple hundred times, and am ready to tackle the next one! 💪🏼

The best part — giving back to mental health as this was my charity for this race 🙏🏼 Thank you too all of our supporters!!

Kids are always listening, even when we don’t realize it. ❤️

Talking about protein, carbs, fats, and balanced meals without labeling foods as “good” or “bad” can help make nutrition a normal part of everyday life.

The more we learn, the more we can pass down to the next generation. 🥦💪

“If you listened to our podcast, you’d know that there was a chance I wouldn’t race this race. The race I trained way harder for than the time before. The race that I spent three months putting more effort into the preparation than anything I’ve done in my life. I even read the rule book — and if you know me at all, you know I don’t agree with many rules 😂 And just days before, an acute knee injury that almost took it all alway.

Luckily, with my diagnosis and the help of our REGEN AT THE OFFICE (but seriously), I was able to compete anyway. And I did. I went into this race with not only a time goal, but a goal to place higher than my first race. I battled the elevation and PUT IT ALL ON THE COURSE. I mean ALL. Elevation is no joke 🤪

I didn’t get my time goal and honestly I missed it by THREE SECONDS. I know I did my absolute best and besides the time goal I had SO MANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS that I have to be proud of… including placing higher, staying dedicated and disciplined, and a lot of physical improvements with each event.

Just 8 hours after my race, I asked Jenni when the next one is. I WILL BEAT THIS CLOCK!!

Thank you for supporting us! 👏🏼
