Our goal is to increase the number of people who safely bike and walk as an alternate form of transportation and for recreation.

We advocate for bicyclists and pedestrians, educate road users through engaging programs and events, actively drive change and combat distracted driving, while empowering community advocacy for safer, more bikeable, and walkable neighborhoods. Naples Pathways Coalition is a non-profit advocacy group dedicated to improving the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, working for the protection of and equal access for vulnerable road users. Our keystone project is the Paradise Coast Trail, which will be a 70+ mile paved pathway, separated from the road, connecting Naples to areas within and beyond Collier County. With the rapidly increasing population growth in Collier County and the number of new developments that Southwest Florida is experiencing, it is more important than ever before for NPC and our supporters’ voices to be heard regarding the safety of pedestrians and people riding bikes. When new roads are being designed or existing roads are being improved, we work with policymakers to ensure the needs of vulnerable road users are planned for and included in the design. As noted, our keystone project is the Paradise Coast Trail (the PCT), which will connect Naples, Ave Maria, Immokalee, Bonita Springs, and other areas within and beyond Collier County with a safe, multi-use pathway. It will expand transportation options, improve health and wellness, reduce our carbon footprint, and provide a destination to experience the Paradise Coast's unique beauty. The PCT will drive quality of life and healthier lifestyles, yield economic benefits to the county, increases property values, and enable greater safety for walkers, runners, recreational and commuter bicyclists.

Come see me at the National Night Out at The Four Seasons this evening until 7 PM - lots of free, fun stuff for families!

The mornings are getting darker, which means it’s time to make sure we’re easy to spot out there.

Our high-vis kits aren’t just about looking good—they help drivers see cyclists when we’re sharing the road in low-light conditions.

Be bright. Be visible. Be safe. 🚴‍♀️

Have a kid riding an e-bike or e-scooter? Thinking about getting them one? This is worth a read.

E-bikes and e-scooters have become a big topic around Naples, and there are still a lot of questions about speed, safety, where kids should ride and what parents should know.

AAA put together a helpful E-Ride Safety Guide that covers choosing the right device, helmets and protective gear, riding rules, safety tips and even how to have the safety conversation with your child.

We’re sharing a few highlights here, but there’s a lot more in the full guide.

👉 Download the complete AAA E-Ride Safety Guide and go through it with your young rider before their next ride.

We could use your help. 💛

There’s a lot we want to keep doing at Naples Pathways Coalition—from our community programs and safety work to adding more miles to the Paradise Coast Trail. And we can’t do it without the support of people who believe in what we’re working toward.

If you’re able to make a personal donation, any amount helps. And if you own a business, work for a company that supports local organizations, or simply know someone we should talk to about sponsorship, we’d really appreciate an introduction.

The new 7-mile section of the Paradise Coast Trail is a great reminder of what’s possible when a community gets behind an idea. Now we want to keep going.

If you’d like to help, please donate today: https://naplespathways.org/donate/.

And if you know a potential corporate sponsor, reach out to Michelle at [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who has already supported us. It really does make a difference. 🚲💛

Weekend Recap! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to shop, volunteer and support our Bicycle Fundraiser Sale! Thanks to you, the sale was a success and helped raise funds to support the work of Naples Pathways Coalition.

And even better, we were able to keep the giving going by donating bikes, lights and helmets to Misión Peniel, a local farmworker ministry. ❤️

Bikes finding new homes, important gear getting into the hands of people who need it, and our community showing up for one another—that’s a pretty good way to spend a Saturday.

Thank you, Naples! 🚲💛

With the Vanderbilt widening project underway, cyclists and pedestrians are being directed to sidewalks in areas where our normal bike infrastructure is impacted. That makes it especially important that these pathways remain clear, safe and usable.

Recently, our executive director Michelle was alerted that the stretch of sidewalk from Goodlette-Frank Road to Mercato was pitch black in the early morning hours — despite streetlights along the route.

That’s a serious concern.

As the days get shorter, more cyclists and pedestrians are commuting in the dark. And after the recent storms, fallen branches and other debris can end up on the sidewalk overnight. If you can’t see an obstruction, you can’t avoid it.

Michelle reached out to Jamie Khawaja, Supervisor – Site Inspections, Transportation Engineering with Collier County, and Jamie got right on it. She made sure the sidewalks were cleared and is working to get the lighting along the route operational.

This is the kind of responsive partnership we appreciate and expect. 👏

We’ll continue advocating for safe infrastructure throughout the Vanderbilt project and beyond.

This is Advocacy in Action.

👉 See an issue? Say something.
If you come across a problem or obstruction on a road, bike lane or sidewalk, reach out to us. Together, we can help get these issues addressed and continue making Naples a safer, more bikeable and more walkable community.
