For TEN YEARS, Megan Huntsman gave birth in secret.

No hospital. No doctor. No one outside the home knew she was having these babies. đź’”

In April 2014, her estranged husband, Darren West, was cleaning out the garage of their Pleasant Grove, Utah home when he found a small white box wrapped in plastic.

Inside was the body of a newborn.

He called police.

And when detectives searched the garage, they found six more.

Seven infant bodies. Each wrapped in towels, shirts or other material, placed inside plastic bags, put into separate cardboard boxes, and hidden in the garage. Some had been there for years.

Megan Huntsman, who was 39 when she was arrested, eventually told investigators she had given birth to all seven babies at the home between 1996 and 2006.

She admitted that she had strangled or suffocated six of them immediately after they were born.

She said the seventh baby had been stillborn.

Detective Dan Beckstrom, who investigated the case, said:

“I've never seen anything like this in my career.”

And there was another detail that made the case even harder to understand.

DNA testing confirmed that all seven babies were fathered by Darren West.

At the same time, Huntsman and West were raising three living daughters together.

One of those daughters was born during the same decade Huntsman was secretly giving birth to the other babies.

West had also spent eight years in prison on drug-related convictions during part of that period. Police said they did not consider him a suspect in the babies' deaths.

Investigators said Huntsman was heavily addicted to methamphetamine and alcohol during the years the babies were born. Police said her drug addiction was a major factor, and that she had described being faced with a choice between supporting her drug use and caring for children.

In February 2015, Huntsman pleaded guilty to six counts of first degree felony murder.

Under the plea agreement, prosecutors had agreed to recommend that the six sentences run concurrently.

But Judge Darold McDade rejected that recommendation.

He sentenced Huntsman to five years to life on each count, with three sentences running consecutively and the other three concurrently.

At sentencing, Huntsman said:

“In some small way, I wanted to help them avoid the terrible life I would have given them. I deprived my little babies of the opportunity of life.”

The judge told her, “I really thought I'd seen it all until this case came along.”

Her first parole hearing is scheduled for April 2064.

She will be 89 years old.

Six babies.

Ten years.

And seven tiny bodies hidden inside a garage.

Her Family Went Looking for Her Themselves Because She'd Stopped Responding. They Found Her Dismembered in a Container

A Georgia woman working as a DoorDash driver was reportedly found dismembered inside a plastic tub, in a case that unfolded after her own family launched a search when she stopped responding to messages. Kingston Bradley, 18, was arrested Thursday and charged with concealing a death, according to reporting by local outlet WANF.

According to the report, Bradley was allegedly seen by a witness dragging a plastic tub around the Park Valley Apartments in Smyrna, Georgia, where he is a resident, on Wednesday. After being spotted, Bradley reportedly dropped the tub and fled the scene. Local NBC affiliate WXIA reported that according to an arrest warrant, the witness who spotted him was Michelle Weaver — the aunt of 26-year-old Shanteria "Tia" Mosely, the woman later identified inside the tub.

Mosely had left home Wednesday morning to work as a DoorDash driver, but stopped responding to messages from her family shortly afterward. Rather than waiting on law enforcement to locate her, Mosely's family took the search into their own hands, an effort that ultimately led them directly to the Park Valley Apartments — where Weaver's chance encounter with Bradley dragging the tub became the critical break in finding out what had happened to Mosely.

The case is especially harrowing given that it was a family member's own search efforts, rather than a police investigation, that led to the discovery. As the investigation continues, authorities will need to determine the full circumstances surrounding Mosely's death and Bradley's alleged role, while her family processes the devastating outcome of a search they undertook themselves after growing concerned when she went silent following what should have been an ordinary work shift.

⚪️ Man Charged in 5-Year-Old Zah’Layah Walton’s Death Held Without Bond Pending Another Hearing

Jeremy Porter, 47, will remain in jail without bond for at least 10 more days.

At his next hearing, a judge will decide whether to continue holding him without bond until trial or set a bail amount.

Porter faces a capital murder charge after Zah’Layah was fatally shot while riding in a car with her mother and siblings in northwest Harris County.

Investigators say the family was not the intended target.

According to court documents, Porter told investigators he fired five shots at the car after mistaking it for a vehicle involved in an earlier confrontation.

Zah’Layah’s mother said she had never interacted with him.

Zah’Layah’s family gathered with supporters this week to remember the little girl.

Her mother recalled that, shortly before the shooting, Zah’Layah had asked if she could have a Hot Pocket when they got home.

Porter is charged, and the case has not gone to trial.

RALEIGH MAN CHARGED IN $1,264 FRAGRANCE THEFT FROM ULTA BEAUTY

A Raleigh man faces three felony charges in connection with an alleged fragrance theft from Ulta Beauty and a separate misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge, according to Wake County court documents.

Billy Lamont Graham, 39, is charged with habitual larceny, felony conspiracy and felony larceny in a warrant obtained by Garner police on September 23, 2026.

The warrant alleges Graham stole assorted fragrances valued at $1,264.96 from Ulta Beauty on September 13. It also accuses him of conspiring with another person to steal more than $1,000 in merchandise from the retailer.

The habitual larceny count cites four prior larceny-related convictions in Wake County, dating to 2003, 2006, 2015 and 2019.

In a separate case, Raleigh police arrested Graham September 24 on a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. According to the magistrate’s order, Graham allegedly possessed a crack pipe with the intent to use it to consume an unlawful controlled substance.

The order lists an October 13 court appearance at 8:15 a.m. in Courtroom 101 of the Wake County Justice Center for the paraphernalia charge.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Two days after honeymoon, wife found dead from blunt-force head injuries.

Bradley Dawson and Christe Chen arrived at Turtle Island Resort in Fiji on July 7, 2022, for their honeymoon. Just two days later, on July 9, resort staff found Christe dead inside their bungalow. She had suffered multiple severe blunt-force head injuries. Her body was too badly damaged to be embalmed for transport back to the United States. Dawson had vanished, leaving behind his phone and GPS watch but taking his wallet and belongings. Investigators later located him on a nearby island about a day and a half later.

He claimed the fatal injuries resulted from an accident during a heated argument and that he panicked and fled. Prosecution witnesses, however, heard loud banging, a scream, and another bang from the couple’s room that night. Dawson had also argued with Christe about his ex-wife during their final dinner. At trial, he claimed her injuries could have happened in a fall, but the court rejected this. The judge found beyond reasonable doubt that Dawson was responsible. He had left Christe inside the bungalow and escaped rather than seeking help. Justice Riyaz Hamza called his actions “appalling.” On December 11, 2024, Dawson was convicted of murder. In February 2025, he received a life sentence, with at least 18 years before any pardon could be considered.

What began as a romantic honeymoon ended in tragedy and a life behind bars.

🚨SHE ASKED A STRANGER AT A BUS STOP, “DO YOU WANT HIM?🚨

Then she allegedly started handing over her ONE-MONTH-OLD BABY’S documents.

This story is heartbreaking — but thankfully, that little baby is safe.

Police say 18-year-old Karla Ibarra was at a bus stop in downtown San Antonio, Texas, on the night of September 13 when she approached a woman she did not know and initially asked to use her phone.

That woman was Jennifer Benavides.

According to Benavides, she was admiring Ibarra’s one-month-old baby boy when the conversation suddenly took a turn she absolutely was not expecting.

Benavides says Ibarra asked whether she wanted the baby and said she was going to give him to somebody.

Then, according to Benavides, Ibarra began handing her the baby's birth certificate, Medicaid information and Social Security card.

At that point, this wasn't sounding like a joke.

Benavides tried to help.

She brought Ibarra and the baby to a nearby friend's home.

But according to Benavides, Ibarra called an Uber and left WITHOUT her son.

Benavides and her friend contacted authorities and stayed with the baby until help arrived.

Ibarra later returned and was arrested.

She is now charged with abandoning and endangering a child with intent to return. Her bail was set at $7,000.

Those are allegations, and the criminal case has not been resolved.

But here's the part that makes this situation especially difficult to understand:

Texas has a Safe Haven law known as the Baby Moses Law.

An unharmed baby who is 60 days old or younger can legally and anonymously be surrendered at certain designated locations, including hospitals, fire stations and EMS stations, when the requirements of the law are followed.

This little boy was only about ONE MONTH OLD.

There was a legal option available specifically for a parent who felt unable to care for him.

Thankfully, this baby appears to have encountered someone who recognized that something wasn't right and got authorities involved.

Child Protective Services says the little boy was ultimately placed with relatives.
