Starting them young at for Coastal Cleanup!

This past Saturday, our team joined forces with Keep Collier Beautiful for the annual Coastal Cleanup along Shell Island Road. We love seeing our community show up to protect our local waters, but one volunteer stole the show! Meet our youngest helper, a 3-year-old local rockstar who is already a veteran protector of the reserve! Saturday marked his second year in a row participating in the cleanup.

From toddlers to grandparents, keeping Collier County beautiful is a team effort. Big thanks to Rooker Bay volunteers and local residents who came out to protect the beautiful ecosystems we explore every day!

We couldn’t be prouder of our Rising Tide Explorers biologist guides, Celina and Cierra!
When they’re not leading guests on the water, Celina and Cierra are out in the field as Environmental Specialists with Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, monitoring sea turtle nests, collecting important data, and helping protect the incredible wildlife and habitats of Southwest Florida.
Their recent encounter with an invasive black spiny-tailed iguana and a tiny loggerhead hatchling is a perfect example of the unexpected moments that happen when you work in this remarkable environment!

At Rising Tide Explorers, we pride ourselves on having guides who are not only passionate about Southwest Florida, but who truly KNOW it. Our biologist guides bring their science, field experience, and genuine love for this place to every tour.
