An old pool can't just have dirt dumped in it. Leave the bottom whole and you've buried a concrete bowl that holds water under your yard. The water has to be pumped out and the bottom broken up so rain can drain on through, and this is what that looks like halfway there. The top of the walls comes off too, so there's no concrete sitting just under the grass. Then the fill goes in and gets packed as it comes up, or the yard ends up with a low spot right where the pool used to be. It's more dirt than people figure, because a pool is a big hole once the water's gone. Plenty of counties want a permit before a pool gets filled, so check that first. Take photos of the fence, the shed, the driveway, the trees and the house from every side. If a storm does damage, you will have a record of how it looked before.

Downed trees, limbs and root balls.
That is most of what a storm leaves in a yard around here, and it is too heavy and tangled for a pickup. We cut it up, load it into our dump trucks and haul it off.

After a big storm, the rental yards empty out fast.
Every crew in the Panhandle goes looking for the same excavators and loaders at the same time. We do not rent ours. NOBL Sitework runs its own excavators, loaders, dump trucks and forestry mulcher, so we are not standing in that line when you need us.
