One of the most overlooked parts of home maintenance is water management around the foundation.
Gutters full of debris, short downspouts, low spots and concrete sloping toward the house may not look dramatic—but they can direct a surprising amount of water toward the basement or crawlspace.
A few simple things to check:
• Keep gutters clean
• Extend downspouts away from the home
• Watch for low areas near the foundation
• Maintain sealant at exterior gaps and joints
These are also conditions we look for during a home inspection. Sometimes the smaller maintenance items help explain the bigger picture.
I found out that my USB-C did not support Video so I found an adapter that worked nicely! Setup was surprisingly simple, and the extra screen space has made writing reports and managing photos much easier.
