🚨 SWEETIE AND LIL’ BEAR NEED OUT BY TOMORROW 🚨

Sweetie and Lil’ Bear were surrendered by their owner to Los Angeles County Animal Care & Control in California. Both are terrified, both are past their deadline, and we’ve been told no extensions will be given.

We learned that Lil’ Bear came in with Sweetie, and we could not leave her behind. Trina & Friends K-9 Rescue is working on an exit plan for both girls, but we need help.

We need to raise $1,200 for boarding so they have somewhere safe to go. Fosters are desperately needed, too. If you can foster either dog, please reach out now. If you can donate, any amount helps. Please share—tomorrow is their deadline. ❤️🐾

An update on Wylie after his amputation: it’s like it never happened! It hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He’s getting around and enjoying life, and we couldn’t be happier for him. Dogs are amazing. They are so resilient. ❤️🐾

🐾 MEET HONEY 🐾
Her shelter name was Juniper, but her beautiful new name is Honey. 🍯

Honey is about 2 years old. She is a Husky mix, with Malamute and Samoyed in her too. She came to us from the Palm Valley Shelter in Texas , PVAS, and she is in training with HappyGentle Dogs in Princeton, Texas.

Honey came to us very frightened of the world. Today she sits at the front of her kennel and watches it all go by: the people, the other dogs, the cars. She walks outside on her own and puts her nose up to smell the air. When her trainer calls her, Honey walks toward her.

On vet day she jumped into the car by herself and walked into the clinic on her leash. The staff told us she was absolutely great.

She has been trained with no pain, no fear, and no punishment. Honey learned that people are safe because the people around her have been patient and kind with her every single day.

Honey takes her time with anything new, and that includes new people. It isn't personal. That is just Honey. She needs time to get to know you and a little distance so she can start to like you on her own.

Think of it like dating. You don't move in too fast on the first date. You show up, you stay kind, and you let her decide she likes you.

It will be a beautiful, slow process, and it is worth every minute. Once Honey chooses you, she will be your very best friend. Maybe the best dog you have ever had.

The right home for Honey is a quiet one, with a patient person who is happy to go at her pace. Give her calm, routine, and kindness.

Honey is getting close, and we are looking for her person now.

Sweet Wylie came to us from Dallas Animal Services about a year ago. While he was at the shelter, we learned that he had a badly injured leg. Because he wasn’t in pain at the time, we were advised to monitor him and wait.

Recently, Wylie began struggling, and sadly, the difficult decision was made to amputate his leg. His surgery cost nearly $3,000.

We are currently inundated with medical bills and would be incredibly grateful for any help. If we could raise $1,000 toward Wylie’s surgery, it would mean so much to our rescue. No donation is too small—every dollar helps us continue caring for dogs like Wylie.
