A retroactive New York City tax change could affect estimated payments already made for 2026.
New York City has reduced the Unincorporated Business Tax credit available to resident taxpayers with more than $1 million in city taxable income.
Affected owners and partners should assess the impact on their 2026 tax obligations and review estimated payments. UBT-paying businesses should also evaluate their city apportionment to determine whether they may be overpaying UBT.
