Its territory stretches from the Tyrrhenian Sea inland to Monte Amiata and Montalcino, running from Bolgheri in the north down to Sorano and Pitigliano, including the peninsula of Monte Argentario and the island of Giglio. Maremma began its life as an IGT, earning DOC status in 2011.

Spread across 23,500 vineyard acres, the region’s diverse soils are planted to a number of different grapes, including both traditional and international varieties.
