EFCC Freezes Osun State Government Account Ahead of August 15 Governorship Election

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly frozen one of the Osun State Government's statutory allocation accounts, less than two weeks before the state's governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

According to reports, the anti-graft agency placed a Post No Debit (PND) restriction on the account as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities involving approximately ₦11 billion.
