You do not have to clean up your heart before you come to God.

Bring Him the prayer that begins with, “I don’t understand.” Bring Him the questions, the pain, the disappointment, and the hopes you are afraid to say aloud. God is not threatened by our honesty. He meets us there, with mercy, wisdom, and steadfast love.

Faith is not pretending everything is fine. Faith is trusting that God is still present when everything feels uncertain. We can pour out our hearts because He listens. We can ask hard questions because He is faithful. We can surrender our hopes because His plans are good, even when we cannot see the next step.

Our honest prayers do not push God away… they draw us nearer to Him. What do you need to bring before God today?

Holiness is not a Sunday-only idea. It is a daily way of life.

We become more like Christ through ordinary acts of faithfulness: praying when we feel weary, obeying when the path is difficult, and choosing love when resentment feels easier. Holiness is not about appearing perfect. It is about surrendering our hearts to God and allowing His Spirit to transform us from the inside out.

Prayer shapes our desires. Obedience strengthens our faith. Christlikeness becomes visible in the way we speak, serve, forgive, work, and lead.

We are not changed by striving alone. We are changed by abiding in Jesus… one surrendered choice at a time.

What is one area of your everyday life where God is inviting you to grow in holiness?

We do not turn to Scripture only for information. We turn to it for transformation.

Romans 15:4 reminds us that God’s Word was written to teach us, strengthen our endurance, and encourage our hearts, so that we may have hope.

When the road feels uncertain, Scripture gives us direction. When waiting feels heavy, Scripture builds endurance. When discouragement speaks loudly, Scripture reminds us that God is faithful.

Our circumstances may change. God’s promises do not. His Word meets us in the present and prepares us for what is ahead.

What truth from Scripture is giving you hope today?

Obedience does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like taking the next right step… choosing forgiveness, keeping your word, serving quietly, or trusting God when no one else sees.

God honors the heart that says yes. Small acts of faithfulness can carry meaningful impact because they place our ordinary lives in His hands. We may not see the full purpose today, but God does.

We do not obey to earn His love. We obey because we have already received it. And through simple obedience, God shapes our character, strengthens our faith, and prepares us to lead with purpose.

What is one simple act of obedience God may be inviting you to take today?

One day, every barrier will fall away…

John saw “a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne” (Revelation 7:9).

This is not a picture of uniformity. It is a picture of redeemed unity. Different histories. Different languages. Different cultures. One Savior. One hope. One family worshiping together.

At Pillar College, we believe this glimpse of heaven shapes how we learn, lead, and serve today. Our differences are not obstacles to overcome; they are part of God’s beautiful design. In Christ, diversity does not divide us… it displays the breadth of God’s grace.

How can we reflect the welcome, worship, and unity of this vast crowd in our communities?

Flee harmful desires. Pursue what gives life.

Paul reminds us that spiritual strength is not only about what we resist. It is also about what we run toward. We leave behind the desires that pull us away from God, then pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace.

We were never meant to walk this path alone. We pursue Christ together, with people who call us higher, strengthen our faith, and help us live with integrity.

What do you need to flee today? What will you choose to pursue instead?

Where are our eyes fixed today?

Hebrews 3:1 calls us to consider Jesus. Our Apostle and High Priest. Not our fears. Not our failures. Not the noise around us. Jesus.

When we fix our eyes on Him, our perspective changes. Anxiety gives way to trust. Distraction gives way to devotion. We remember that the One who calls us is also the One who leads us, intercedes for us, and remains faithful.

We do not follow Jesus from a distance. We follow Him in our decisions, our work, our families, and our calling. Today, let us look again… and keep moving forward in faith.

What would change if you fixed your eyes on Jesus before anything else?

Thank you, Professor Ivette Roman, for sharing such an encouraging word at our devotion today! “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:20 ESV

Hope is not wishful thinking. Joy is not dependent on circumstances. Peace is not the absence of trouble.

Romans 15:13 reminds us that the God of hope fills us with joy and peace as we trust in Him, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We do not have to manufacture hope on our own. We receive it. We do not have to face uncertainty alone. We trust. We do not have to live empty. Through the Holy Spirit, God fills us again and again.

Whatever this season holds, we can walk forward with confidence. Our hope is anchored in God’s promises, our joy is rooted in His presence, and our peace is secured in His faithfulness.

What would change today if you truly believed God was filling you with hope?

We do not have to polish our prayers before bringing them to God.

Bring the questions. Bring the pain. Bring the hopes you are almost afraid to name. God is not intimidated by our honesty, and He is not distant from our uncertainty. He invites us to pour out our hearts before Him because He is our refuge (Psalm 62:8).

We may not receive every answer immediately… but we can trust the One who hears every word. Prayer is not performance. It is relationship. It is where fear meets faith, sorrow meets comfort, and uncertainty meets the presence of God.

What honest prayer do you need to bring to Him today?
