On Thursday, Integrity House’s Newark Outreach team participated in Save a Life Day, a nationwide effort dedicated to putting lifesaving overdose prevention resources into the hands of local communities.

Our team served over 100 individuals in the Frelinghuysen Avenue community, distributing over 70 Naloxone kits along with other essential supplies.

Held during Recovery Month, Save a Life Day highlights the role overdose prevention can play in creating more opportunities for recovery.

National Food Service Workers Day is a chance to recognize the team behind the meals served across Integrity House’s residential programs.

Every day, our Food Services team prepares healthy meals and snacks for individuals enrolled in short-term, long-term, and halfway house treatment across our Newark and Secaucus campuses.

Today, we recognize them for the work they do behind the scenes to support our programs and the individuals we serve.

Happy National Addiction Professionals Day to the staff who make recovery possible for thousands of individuals every year! From our counselors, clinicians, peer recovery specialists, and medical staff, to our teams in food services, IT, facilities, and more, thank you for the work you do for our clients and community.

On Thursday, we celebrated Staff Appreciation Day at Weequahic Park where staff from across the organization gathered for some fun outdoor activities and delicious meals from Stuf'd truck.

Last Friday, Integrity House welcomed representatives from NYU and Rutgers as part of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Clinical Trials Network (CTN).

The visit was an opportunity to host this space and connect with professionals in the field. exchange perspectives on addiction treatment, and learn more about the connection between research and community-based care.

Building these relationships helps support continued collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the behavioral health and addiction treatment field.

As summer winds down, we’re looking back at a client outing from earlier this season.

Individuals enrolled in our residential treatment programs visited the beach for a day of connection, relaxation, and fun! In our residential programs, recreation is intentionally built into the treatment experience, giving clients opportunities to build relationships, try new activities, and learn how to enjoy themselves without substances.

Sometimes progress looks like a major milestone. Sometimes it looks like a day at the beach.

Yesterday, Integrity House joined Saint James Health for the National Health Center Week Kickoff Ceremony. Our team connected with attendees and shared information about our many services.

We were able to distribute naloxone, hygiene kits, and other essential items to community members at the event.

Thank you to Saint James Health for bringing community organizations together and creating space for connection, education, and wellness.

Integrity House has partnered with the City of Newark, NJ - City Hall Office of Homeless Services to launch a new Street Outreach program for individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Our teams are visiting transit hubs, parks, and other spaces, and canvassing neighborhoods to offer basic care supplies, crisis support, behavioral health assessments, treatment, housing, and other essential resources.

Outreach takes place throughout Newark in the evenings, when many traditional services are often less accessible.
