Could not be more proud of this kid (17), who is from my neighborhood and has asked if I have anything he can help with. We are on day 3 of learning to use an orbital sander. One tool at a time. Patient, asks questions, and willing to learn. Could not be more stoked for how amazing his work is turning out. He’s currently sanding old tables back to the original wood and perfectly at that. Nothing better than watching someone learn new skills and succeed!

Since then he has also gone into the neighborhood and found opportunities from grass cutting, w**d pulling, window washing, and more. It all starts with a conversation.

So if you’re out there and interested in learning, I would love to help when we have opportunities.

Was on a site walk for a potential new client yesterday. During my visit, recessed light was noticed not working. Do I fix that? I can, but in this case an electrician is needed.

📝 Project: Lattice addition
📍Location: Newark, DE

Beyond thrilled with how this lattice project turned out! The client had a beautiful brand new deck installed and had a vision to add lattice to the underneath. We met, chatted a few ideas, and came to a final design after comparing a few color and design options.

Behind the lattice we added top and bottom framing and kept it floating off ground. This avoids damage years or when you sometimes see lattice bending from sitting in the dirt.

Day 4 is a wrap! Paint is drying and tomorrow I will be back for final touchups and cleanup. We were able to get a perfect color match for the walls and the brick wall brown trim. Ceiling primed and painted as well. 🎨

During this we were also able to replace the bathroom shower head and repair a wobbly toilet. 🚿🚽

Day 3 is a wrap, Frank is exhausted from watching me work all day 😂

On a serious note, I’m working on recovery with Sciatica and when Frank and I connected many months ago about working together, I was ecstatic. Together, we accomplish a lot and can take on more projects and work in tandem. Today we also finished a beautiful outdoor lattice project. We were certainly exhausted after that!
