Inspiration for a contemporary cabin

Winter is here

I love creating spaces, but sometimes a floor is all it takes. The wooden deck surrounded by greenery is an open space that’s pleasantly embraced by nature. The contrast between the clean lines and the green surroundings complements each other beautifully

The Aalto vase turns 90, the very first vase I ever bought. For this anniversary, I created a pedestal inspired by the original wooden moulds the vases were once mouth-blown into. still produces limited runs using these wooden moulds today, and I love that this craftsmanship is kept alive. They sent me a special mouth-blown piece made in one of these moulds. Each mould can only be used about 50 times, making every vase truly unique. The pedestal tells a piece of that production process, and seeing it presented together with the vase feels like the story comes full circle��

So nice to see it coming together, with the shed starting to match the cabin 🪵🤎
