What another wonderful day yesterday was! Fall temps have not found us yet (we think they are stuck in the 285 traffic shutdown!), but we are more than grateful for the covered area we have to ride out of the sun.

Next class is this Saturday, September 26. We’ll see you at the barn!

It is going to be a warm one tomorrow, but it is going to be a great day for classes!

We can’t wait to see everyone! We’ll see you at the barn!

For over forty years The Reece Center has been the special place it is. But it would not be this amazing place without all the people that have supported us in so many ways. For decades, Bud Fox, Cathy Fox, Ralph Watson and the Georgia Walking Horse Association have been some of those people. Without their steadfast support, generosity and love, we would not be here today.

Once again they gave us their support and provided a generous donation today. We are so grateful for them. Thank you is never enough, but THANK YOU!

Please help us give all of them a Reece Center virtual hug and show them some love and thank yous for all they have ever done for us.

CLASSY UPDATE!

It has been a minute since we updated you on Classy. He is back home at The Reece Center and cleared for work! We will keep doctoring his wound for a little longer, but he is released by our wonderful vets Southern Crescent Equine Services. His final bill - $2850! He is worth his weight in gold (but we don’t want him to rack up any more bills for a while!! 🤣😂).

It rained and we still had a great day yesterday! We love that our volunteers are so amazing they still come when the weather isn’t perfect and help us create smiles! Thank you!

Don’t forget we are back to our fall schedule of classes every Saturday and they start at 9 am!

Yep! It is raining! We will still be having classes today, we will just pivot, and they will be non-mounted, inside the barn. We will be grooming and other activities. We hope to see you even if it is raining . The grass loves this!

Today is a solemn day in our country’s history. This is one of those days that everyone remembers where they were when it happened. On that day we saw our country hurt and bleeding but never defeated. We came together as a nation, supported by each other and the world, and survived. We lost people, animals and structures. Our country was changed forever.

We pray for our nation to find its way back to that sense of unity we all felt on that day. We are grateful for all the heroes that emerged during our time of need and saddened by our losses.

Never forget, we are always stronger together!
