Are you building something that’s setting you up for a fall?

Yesterday, we continued Blurry Kingdoms in Daniel 4 with a hard but important question: Am I building for a fall?

Nebuchadnezzar looked out over Babylon and saw what he had built, what he had accomplished, and what his power had produced. Pride convinced him that he was in control.

But Daniel 4 reminds us that the Most High rules over every human kingdom. Our careers, reputations, finances, families, abilities, and accomplishments are not ultimate—and neither are the things we fear.

Nebuchadnezzar’s turning point came when he finally looked up. Pride looks down at what we’ve done. Worship looks up at the One who reigns.

So this week, let’s ask ourselves: Who is really ruling and reigning over my life? Instead of building our own kingdoms, may we trust Christ as King and let Him do the building.

Tomorrow, we gather. 🙌

We’ll worship together, open God’s Word, encourage one another, and continue Blurry Kingdoms in Daniel 4.

And while you’re making plans to be here, take a moment to think about who could come with you.

Maybe it’s someone who’s never been to church. Maybe it’s someone who hasn’t been in a while. Maybe it’s simply someone who could use a reminder that they don’t have to navigate life alone.

It’s easy to look at what we’ve accomplished, what we have, or where we’re headed and begin to believe it all depends on us. But Daniel 4 points us toward a different posture: humility before the God who is King over everything.

There’s a place for you at [OV]Church this Sunday. And there’s a place for someone you know, too. ❤️

But this is about more than plants. 🌿

Coaster Coffee was created to be a place where community happens, and the garden gives us another opportunity to connect with our neighbors, serve alongside one another, and be part of something together.

Yesterday, we continued Blurry Kingdoms with Week 3 in Daniel 3. 🔥

Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah faced enormous pressure to bow, but they chose to stand firm in their faith and trust God, no matter the outcome.

Their story is a powerful reminder for us today: following Jesus won’t always be the easiest path, but He is faithful in every season and every circumstance.

As we head into this week, may we have the courage to stand firm, trust God completely, and live with a faith that doesn’t change when the pressure rises.
