Everybody has their own story with what their bodies been through! There’s physical pain, there is mental pain. Our young athletes struggle with both on top of hormone development! This is the most pivotal time to start focusing on what can help young athletes feel they are giving their all in their purpose in the game while still being able to have some recovery time.

This event is very close to my heart ❤️!

I watched my own father suffer from the impact of a rare form of Alzheimer’s (Logopenic aphasia, effecting the frontal lobe of the brain and initially limits the ability to verbalize thoughts) My father was only 55 when diagnosed. My Grandmother also suffered from the impact of Dementia.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia have been studied in greater depth most recent years and can be viewed as a spectrum much like “Autism” or even “fibromyalgia” (if that helps clarify, underlying causes, symptoms, treatment)

The part of the brain impacted.

I am a healthcare provider in the skilled therapy world with over 20 years of experience. I have through this time, worked in various capacities in Assisted Living Facilities, Skilled Nursing Homes, Memory Care Units and Home care.

This event not only brings awareness but pushes more for studies, treatment, medical provider education and overall quality care.
