It’s time to get caught up on posting. I have been looking forward to sharing the photos from this shoot for a while. Sometimes you have those shoots where everything comes together and you end up with a ton of awesome photos, then you are left with deciding what the “best” photo is.

This was one of those shoots. Ean killed it with the modeling as well as the styles for this shoot. I am thankful I had the opportunity to work with Ean and I look forward to sharing more photos from this shoot soon!

A summer portrait. Blue hour is one of my favorite natural lights to use. Even thought his is a black and white photo the way the light behaves is unique.

It’s okay to have an outlet or hobby that is outside of your day to day job. Some people prefer to play golf, play video games, shop, or even run marathons. With how stressful life can be I highly encourage others to find something that they love to do, and simply do it because you want to.

My outlet is photography and I prefer to create photographs of people. I was introduced to photography in 2008 when I took a high school class on black and white film photography. While I was assigned projects on different genres of photography, it was portrait photography that stuck out to me from the very beginning. Since starting photography I have tried many other hobbies from woodworking to backpacking, but it has always been art and specifically photographs of people that call me back.

I don’t expect everyone to understand or even like my artwork. There are many forms of art and hobbies that I don’t understand, even then I remember that someone has taken time to work on a skill, they enjoy what they are doing, and I respect that.
