A lil faux blow out never hurt anybody 🌟

We did a full highlight and cut and then I used my Olivia Garden 1.25 inch curling iron to give a pinned blow out look in half the time!

Going from YEARS of dark box dye and professional dark dye is always scary lowkey! 😭

Her end goal is a golden blonde, but that’s going to take 1–2 more highlight sessions!

For her first session, we did the full Malibu CPR & DDL treatment. She was ORANGE and 👏 that’s 👏 to 👏 be 👏 expected 👏 especially after years of buildup! That dark color has been deposited into the hair over and over, and now we have to work our way through the different levels of the hair to get away from those orange tones.

Then I had to correct the orange with an all-over color. Yes, it still looks dark, BUT we went from a black/very dark brown level 3–4 all the way to a level 6/7, which is more of a light brown. We talked about it beforehand and she was comfortable with that because literally anything but black was fine 😭!

Then 2 weeks later she came back and I packed 1000 foils into her hair to break up as much of the remaining dark as possible. We decided on a honey blonde toner because when we lifted, she still had some warm orange tones but we were also able to get some beautiful yellow tones!

It’s not our end goal YET, but it’s beautiful, it compliments her skin tone, and most importantly… SHE LOVED IT! 🥹🤎

She’ll be traveling to some very sunny and warm areas, so that will naturally brighten her hair even more. She’ll be back in 4 weeks, where we’ll assess how she feels and continue working toward being more blonde while keeping her hair healthy! ✨

The last photo was my highlight/diffusing skills march of 2025, the first 3 are from today!

I used to think diffusing was so difficult but after finding a routine I love that works for almost all curl types, not only do I feel more confident but my clients feel more confidence as well. I also am able to give education for you guys as clients to take home and use on yourself which makes your life much easier and not so complicated ➰❤️

Curly girly all day long ➰

She only wanted to add layers, and not touch her length because this was her first curly cut and she was so so nervous! But I talked her through the whole process step by step and didn’t cut some parts until she told me she was comfortable. Sometimes that’s just what we have to do as curly girls, because haircut trauma is REAL!!!

But it came out beautiful and so healthy and shiny looking and feeling which is always my goal when you sit in my chair!

If your curls need some love I have some spots left for the month for curly cuts check out the link in my bio 🔗

Is a caption even needed?

No but fr this f*cking devoured 🍽️

What to ask for:

Full Lived-in Blended Highlight, still wanting some dimension, with a bright cool toned blonde! (!!Results will vary depending on your natural base!!)

For the haircut, longer layers with the shortest point at the shoulder, with face framing that starts around the lip and a more V shape in the back and a blow out for the styles 🤝

5 years ago I clocked out of cosmetology school for the last time, completely unsure of where this industry was gonna take me, and not sure about where I even wanted it to take me honestly.

Today I had a new client drive 2 hours to get her hair done by me. She didn’t know me from a hole in the wall, she didn’t know anyone who could vouch for me. All she could do was look at my work, look at my reviews, and trust that I could deliver what she needed. Thats a feeling I can’t fully describe, it lets me know I’m doing something right, every stressful test, every doubt, every mistake lead me here. I can’t say I was born to do hair, but I do believe I was born to help people, I love being able to solve the problem, educating, and just supporting the people who pour so much into me and my career. 5 years truly does pass in the blink of an eye and I’m so excited to see where the next 5 take me 🥂✨

Diving into our appointment, she had been covering her greys but also wanting to be bright blonde, and she felt that after multiple appointments in other areas that something just wasnt working, so we sat and talked and worked through everything that could possibly be an issue. We decided no more permanent color 🚫 and we were gonna do a heavy full impact Blonding session. Then to combat the grey we did a root smudge with Oligo Professionnel toners and 13vol to help blend the grey and only cover about 30% for a smoother grow out. I toned her all over with 9AI 9GI and AV to give a golden beige but BRIGHT result. Safe to say she was glad she made the drive , definitely 100% worth it!

Then I styled with Aluram Pro high shine blow out spray, and a dab of the new Frizz control creme from IdHAIR North America which I am absolutely obsessed with right now.

Another curly girl in desperate need of getting RID of the triangle shape!

We also added in some super cute bangs and face framing and ofc showed her how to diffuse at home ❤️
