In celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month, throughout September, tap your library card with the NEW Ride Sticker from Normal Public Library (NPL) or Bloomington Public Library (BPL) to ride Connect Transit FREE!
A Ride Sticker is required to ride free during this promotion.
This promotion also includes:
--- Connect Mobility – Transportation for individuals whose disabilities prevent them from using fixed-route buses.
--- Connect FLEX – The on-demand, shared-ride service serving southwest Bloomington.
How It Works:
--- Visit either library to get your FREE Ride Sticker.
--- Each time you ride in September, simply tap your library card with the Ride Sticker to board for free starting September 1.

Normal Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen Sunday, July 5 at 1 pm.

You never know what treasures you will find at the library...
Yesterday, one of our librarians rescued a stray kitten from the landscaping! She has been taken out of the heat and to Animal Control for veterinary care.
This beautiful spitfire of a kitten should be up for adoption in about 10 days at McLean County Animal Services.

Join us!
OUR JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION IS TODAY (6.19.26) FROM 10-1!
The first 200 children to complete and turn in their Juneteenth passport will receive a free book and a treat made possible by the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, Bobzbay Books, and Miss Kim's Konfections.
There will also be a storytelling performance by local storyteller, Pamela Purnell, and on a first-come-first-served basis, the Zoo Lady will offer facepainting to 50 children. There will also be crafts, games, and community resource information tables.
Juneteenth, the holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, was officially recognized as a federal holiday in 2021, and is celebrated on June 19.
