✨Today I took my final bow with Illinois State Dance Theater on the CPA stage. As this curtain closes, soon another one will open… ✨

I’m honestly still trying to wrap my head around the fact this chapter is closing. Stepping into the theater feels like home - the kind of home built from late rehearsals, bruised knees, shared joy, shared pain, and the quiet magic of moving with people who have become family. Joining DT in January of 2022 was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life thus far. These people have built me up from my darkest hours and have been instrumental in my growth as a human being.

To my fellow dancers, mentors, and every soul who has shared space with me: thank you for seeing me, trusting me, and growing with me. I am continuously reminded why movement is magical, meaningful, and speaks a truth words cannot.

Thank you to my choreographer, Darby, for this unforgettable semester and guidance throughout my college career. Another thank you to our Artistic Director, Laina, for being my role model and an inspiring example of what a strong, fearless, and passionate leader looks like. Last but most importantly, thank you Mom & Dad for your endless sacrifices, love, and dancing with me in the kitchen.

Tonight wasn’t just a final performance - it was a letter to every version of my past self that fought to be here, and to every person who believed I could. Here’s to the last bow… and to every new beginning waiting in the wings. 💕✨

A little over a week ago I lost my very best friend and #1 Christmas present ever… Daisy May

Christmas 2014 Michelle gave me this little black dog found on the side of the road in Ocala, FL. She became my good luck charm at every horse show, making sure she was by the start box or ringside for each phase. Flash forward to 2018 - I’m off to college in Nashville. Before leaving, my grandmother gave me a little black stuffed dog and said “since you can’t take her to school with you, take this.” I slept with it every single night in the dorms. Now 2019 - I moved back home and started running the farm. Daisy and I moved into our new home together. She became the queen of Hunter Oaks and the Mercier family. She also became my copilot during my two trips to Florida with the horses every year. She loved a good car ride! I’ve heard when you go to heaven, your favorite dog greets you at the gates. I hoe that’s true…

Daisy, I’ll see you soon. 💕🌈🌼

Well… another one of my very best friends has tied the knot and is beginning a new chapter in their book of life! Sydney, you are gorgeous, stunning,an amazing human, and you should be so proud of the woman you’ve become. Jacob, thank you for loving our Sydney, and in return we love you too.

Spent the weekend in St. Louis celebrating my high school best friend, Sydney, at her bachelorette party! ✨💍
It was amazing to be surrounded by strong, hilarious, and supportive women, all coming together to shower Sydney with love before her big day! Every moment reminded me how lucky I am to call her a friend after all these years. Here’s to the beautiful bride-to-be and the next chapter of her life. Cheers to the happy couple! 🥂
