Connect Transit is returning to regular service on Front Street.

Effective Tuesday, June 9, 2026, service in Downtown Bloomington will resume normal operations. Routes Aqua, Orange, Purple, and Silver will stage on the north side of Front Street near 102 North Center Street.

The temporary staging location near Grossinger Motors Arena will no longer be in use after this date.

Public Engagement Sessions on Proposed Service Changes Continues Today!

The second public engagement session will be held today, Wednesday, June 3, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Illinois State University Alumni Center, located at 1101 N Main St, Normal, IL 61761.

The first public engagement session will be held today, Tuesday, June 2, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Western Avenue Community Center, located at 600 N. Western Avenue, Bloomington, IL.

Microtransit (FLEX) Full-Time and Part-Time Operator positions now open!

As a Connect Transit Full-Time Microtransit (FLEX) Operator you will provide exceptional customer service while transporting our customers to and from their destinations as requested through an online platform or app. You will provide this flexible service in a safe, professional, courteous, and timely manner. You will drive a van or minibus that we’ve fully trained you on so you’re confident in all aspects of vehicle operation and technology use, and the areas in which you are driving.
