Trust me, as a mom for over 20 years, I can assure you that you’re closer than you think to building strong family bonds with intentional connection. It’s as simple as remembering the three most important connection points and what to do with them. This guide will get you started. If you want to go further, I have a free five day family connection challenge you can grab right now before the membership launches. Just go to the 🖇️ in my bio to get your own copy and start building family connection right away!
As a parent for over twenty years to three great kids, I know how important it is to take time to intentionally build strong family bonds.
I’ve created a five day free challenge to help you do just that and the great thing is most activities take just minutes to do and require little prep. You can do the activities in any order and can skip days if needed. It’s really that simple!
I’d love for your family to build connection together with this challenge. Just go to the link in my bio to grab yours!
As a teacher of over 30 years, I always love a good fractured fairy tale to get kids engaged in reading and this one does not disappoint!
The three Goldilocks go on a camping trip, and leave their campsite to go on a hike. Soon after they have gone, Bear comes along, and well, I bet you can guess what might happen! 🧸👧👦
You know I will always tell you that you can read a good book just to enjoy the story, but if you wanted to build in some literacy skills you could:
1) Read an original version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears story.
2) Then compare (tell how they are the same) and contrast (find the differences between) the two.
3) You could also research and plan a camping trip of your own!
I’m sure your young children will love this book! Be sure to come back each for a new book suggestion. And share this with a friend who is looking for a good book to read with their children. 😊
Feeling very nostalgic this weekend thinking about the blink of an eye between the weekends at the Official American Girl store picking out a new doll and weekends being the DD to the bars. I guess I should focus on being grateful she’s so responsible, but man, what I wouldn’t give to have those AG days back! 🥹
It’s one of the reasons why I am so passionate about building family connection with preschool and elementary aged families. I know just how fast those years go!
If you have older children like me, what do you miss? Tell me below!
You probably already know that my ideal weekend would involve family connection, and you would be right!
Unfortunately for me, my brother and his family moved several states away, but are back home for a visit! So this weekend will be all about good company, good food (thanks to my uber-talented chef husband!) and good times together. I’m sure there will be lots of talking, reminiscing, swimming, eating, and laughing. And if you ask me, that’s the best weekend possible! How is your family spending the weekend? Let us know, so we can those who may not have made plans yet!
