🐝🍯 BEE-lieve it or not… look what our NPHS Work Study bees have been up to! 🍯🐝
Our girls have been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! 💛 Just look at that gorgeous comb they’ve been building — complete with some beautiful fresh honey! 😍🍯
And check out that BRIGHT yellow color! 💛🌿 That beautiful golden-yellow coloring is coming from the Brazilian Pepper that’s blooming right now. Our bees have clearly found the buffet! 😂🐝
It’s so cool for our students to see firsthand how what’s blooming around us can influence what the bees bring back to the hive. From pollination and hive health to building comb and producing honey, there’s always something new happening at the NPHS apiary.

🐥✨ Our Silkies Are Growing Up! ✨🐥
Look at these fluffy little faces! 😍 Our NPHS Work Study Silkies are getting bigger by the day, and those tiny babies are quickly turning into some seriously fabulous, fluffy chickens! 🐔💙
They’ve been busy exploring, scratching, learning the ropes, and of course showing off those signature Silkie hairstyles. 😂
And now comes their next big adventure… they’re getting ready for a coop of their very own! 🏡🐓 We’re excited for our students to help prepare their new space and continue learning about daily animal care, responsibility, and chicken husbandry along the way.
There is ALWAYS something growing, hatching, buzzing, blooming—or getting a new address—around NPHS Work Study! 😂🌱🐝🐥

🐣🥚 **HELP US HATCH SOMETHING AMAZING AT NPHS!** 🥚🐣

We are SO excited to begin a new **Hatch Program with our NPHS Work Study students!** 💙🐔

And the BEST part? We already have our very own eggs from our feathered friends here at NPHS ready to help us get started! 🥚✨

Now we just need a little help from our amazing community.

We currently have a small incubator, but as we grow this hands-on learning experience, we are hoping to find a **quality, easy-to-use incubator that can accommodate quail, chicken AND duck eggs.**

Our dream incubator would have:
🐣 Automatic egg turning
🌡️ Reliable temperature control
💧 Easy humidity monitoring/control
🥚 Adjustable trays for different egg sizes
👀 A viewing window so our students can watch the magic happen!

This isn't just about hatching adorable babies—although that's definitely a pretty amazing bonus! ❤️ This program will give our students opportunities to learn about **animal husbandry, responsibility, agriculture, life cycles, record keeping, employability skills and the daily care that goes into raising healthy animals.**

We would be incredibly grateful for an **incubator donation, monetary donation toward purchasing one, or even recommendations/connections to a business or organization that may be interested in sponsoring our Hatch Program.**

Every little bit helps us continue creating meaningful, hands-on career experiences for our students.

Our little corner of the NPHS campus is looking pretty amazing right now! 💚 We are so incredibly thankful to Bonnie Plants for the wonderful plants that are now growing, thriving, and adding so much life around our NPHS Work Study chicken coop and campus!
From the beautiful herbs 🌿 to the colorful plants tucked around the coop, these additions are about so much more than making our space pretty. Our students get to be hands-on—planting, watering, maintaining, learning about herbs and gardening, and seeing firsthand how plants, pollinators, chickens, composting, and caring for our environment can all work together. 🐝🌱🐓
And can we just appreciate how adorable our little coop garden is becoming?! 😍 Between the chickens, herbs, flowers, scarecrows, and a little Bobcat creativity, this space has truly become one of our happy places on campus.
Thank you, Bonnie Plants , for growing quality plants that our students can enjoy and helping us GROW—quite literally! 🌱💙 Every plant becomes another opportunity for our students to learn a skill, take responsibility, get their hands dirty, and be proud of something they helped care for.

👑🐣 HEAR YE, HEAR YE! A ROYAL PROCLAMATION FROM CLUCKINGHAM PALACE! 🐣👑
By order of the Royal Coop of NPHS, it is with the greatest joy and much clucking that we announce the arrival of the first official hatchlings born to The Kernel and his fair ladies here at NPHS! 🐓🏰✨
After much waiting, watching, candling, and perhaps a wee bit of impatient peeking… two tiny heirs to the Cluckingham Palace flock have made their grand entrance! 🥚🐣🐣
Their Royal Fluffinesses arrived wearing the finest black-and-white down, looking positively regal—and already behaving as though the entire palace exists solely for their comfort. 😂👑
This is an especially exciting milestone for our NPHS Work Study students. These wee chicks represent so much more than adorable little peeps. They are part of the hands-on learning, responsibility, animal care, teamwork, and life skills our students experience every day.
So raise thy goblets, toss a little scratch, and sound the royal trumpets! 📯

A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Daniel from Mr. B’s Broody Bees for taking the time to stop by and share his incredible knowledge and passion for all things BEES! 🍯🌻
Our students were able to learn about beekeeping, honeybees, hive life, and just how important these tiny pollinators are to our environment. But even better than the information was the excitement he brought into the room! 🐝✨ You could see the curiosity growing as the students listened, asked questions, and discovered just how fascinating the world inside a beehive really is.
These are the experiences we LOVE providing our students—hands-on learning, community connections, career exploration, agriculture, responsibility, and maybe even inspiring a few future beekeepers along the way! 💙🐾
Mr. Daniel, thank you for investing your time in our students and helping our little hive of Bobcats get even more excited about our growing bee and apiary program! 🍯🐝
