🚧🧱 LEGO. Design. Build. Go! Students in the Carver–Ponus Transition Summer Program are putting their creativity and engineering skills to the test! Using LEGO® simple machines, they designed and built solutions to tackle a challenge on a hypothetical construction site. Through hands-on problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking, these young engineers are discovering how innovative designs can solve real-world problems.

🌿 Learning grows best when it's hands-on!
Students in the Carver–Ponus Transition Summer Program rolled up their sleeves and planted two unique pumpkin varieties in the Ponus Garden: Orange Sunrise and Orangita pumpkins.

The Orange Sunrise pumpkins grow on sprawling vines and can reach an impressive 12–15 pounds, while the Orangita pumpkins are much smaller and are often used as festive fall decorations.

Our Ponus Garden provides students with hands-on learning experiences that connect science, agriculture, and sustainability. Through projects like this, students gain a deeper understanding of where food comes from while exploring a variety of plants and produce they may not have encountered before.

Full STEAM Ahead! Our Carver–Ponus Transition Summer Program students put their STEAM skills to the test by designing and building their own personal karaoke machines.

Using speakers, wires, and transistors, students explored the fundamentals of electronics before successfully creating Bluetooth-enabled devices. This hands-on project combined engineering, technology, problem-solving, and creativity—showing that learning is even more exciting when you can sing along!
