Mrs. Sesler’s 6th grade science students took their learning outdoors to investigate surface and air temperature!

Students collected real-world data, used scientific tools, made observations, and explored how temperature can change depending on what and where they measure.

Our 7th grade science classes had a special visit from PAWS! Students learned about the organization, the important work they do for animals in our community, and the many adoptable pets looking for their forever homes.

And then came the best part… a special visit from an adoptable puppy!

Experiences like this give students the opportunity to connect classroom learning with the real world, learn from community organizations, and see how science and compassion can make an impact beyond the classroom.

Dr. Pierre-Louis’s 8th-grade science students are kicking off their lab learning by building an essential foundation: lab safety. From understanding procedures to learning how to safely navigate the lab, students are preparing for the hands-on investigations ahead.

Students in Mr. Walsh’s class are learning how to measure geometric shapes in the real world. They identified and measured parallelograms created by the sun’s reflection on a windowsill, turning an everyday observation into an engaging math investigation.

The Workforce and Technology Advisory Committee recently met at HMTX Industries, bringing together industry partners and professionals in collaboration with Kendall College and Career Academy and PTECH Norwalk High School to help enhance and refine workforce and technology curriculum across our schools.

Students from all three schools had the opportunity to showcase their robotics work, putting their technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities into action.
