Some teachers leave an impression for a school year. Others leave an impression for a lifetime.

This month, we're celebrating Miss Ann, Team Lead at La Petite Academy in Orlando, for 40 years in early childhood education. ❤️

Ann began her journey in childcare at just 16 years old and has spent the majority of her career with Learning Care, building meaningful connections with children and families along the way.

One of those connections lasted decades. After a former student's family moved out of state, Ann stayed in touch. Years later, she drove seven hours to surprise him at his high school graduation, and later made the same trip to attend his wedding.

It's a beautiful reminder that the impact of an educator reaches far beyond the classroom.

Thank you, Ann, for 40 years of caring, connecting, and inspiring generations of children. 🎉

Our schools are gearing up for the annual Trike-A-Thon benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® on October 1, and this year, the cause is especially close to our hearts.

At La Petite Academy of Kernersville, we are riding in honor of Jayden, a beloved student who has been part of our school family since infancy. Now 5 years old, Jayden is courageously facing a rare form of brain cancer and is currently receiving hospice care surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Jayden is a fighter and the fight is not over. ❤️

As a school community, we are committed to reaching our fundraising goal in Jayden's honor and helping support other children and families facing childhood cancer.

For Pathways Learning Academy Director and childhood cancer survivor, Alesha Benkert, the mission is personal.

"It’s really important to be able to give back," says Alesha. At just 11 months old, she was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma and given a 17% chance of survival. Today, she's a school leader, a mom, and a passionate advocate for children.
