Reliable Wi-Fi starts with the right design and the right installation.
Every building has different coverage needs, physical conditions, and network demands. WZC works through those factors in the field to deliver Wi-Fi infrastructure built for consistent performance.

The requirements surrounding ERCES are changing.
NFPA 1225 2027 brings greater attention to how public safety communication systems are evaluated, engineered, tested, monitored, and maintained.
One of the most important shifts is the emphasis on evaluating actual building coverage before determining whether enhancement is necessary. The updated standard also addresses system shutdown, near-far RF performance, personnel qualifications, distribution network limitations, monitoring, and technical documentation.
For building owners, contractors, engineers, and public safety stakeholders, understanding these changes early can help prevent problems later in design, installation, and acceptance.

When first responders enter a building, reliable communication matters.
Chief Scaife shares why dependable in building radio coverage plays such an important role in emergency response and public safety. It is the reason ERCES starts with understanding the building, the RF environment, and the people depending on that signal.

A failed ERCES grid test can impact far more than the inspection.
Redesign. Additional equipment. More labor. Repeat testing. Construction delays.
Many of those issues can be reduced when coverage challenges are identified early through proper RF engineering, planning, and verification.
ERCES should be addressed before final inspection, not after a failure.
Preparation costs less than rework.
Reliable public safety communications start with the right RF strategy.
On August 6, the team joined Sachse Construction for an ERCES focused training session centered on RF engineering, code requirements, system design, and in building coverage.
Bringing these conversations into the project early helps teams identify potential issues before they become costly problems later in construction.
Thank you to the Sachse team for having us back and continuing the conversation around ERCES and RF engineering.

Reliable public safety communication starts long before a system is installed.
It starts with RF engineering, proper design, and coordination through final inspection.
WZC Networking will be exhibiting at the 77th Annual Michigan Fire Inspectors Society Fall Educational Conference, September 22–25.
Visit Booth 8 to connect with our team and talk ERCES, Public Safety DAS, BDA systems, RF engineering, and code compliance.
We’re proud to continue supporting MFIS and the professionals working every day to protect Michigan’s buildings and communities.

WZC Networking recently led an ERCES and RF engineering training session with the Sachse Construction team, focused on the importance of addressing public safety communications early in the project lifecycle.
Ben Wierzgac, Account Executive at WZC Networking, represented the team as we discussed RF planning, ERCES requirements, and how early coordination can help reduce risk, prevent redesigns, and support code compliant coverage.
Thank you to the Sachse team for having us back.

What happens before an ERCES installation can determine what happens at final testing.
Every building has a unique RF environment. Without proper engineering, coverage gaps may not appear until late in the project, when changes become more expensive and disruptive.
WZC brings RF engineering, predictive design, ERCES consulting, and system testing together to help identify those challenges earlier and move projects toward compliance with confidence.
Reliable systems begin with engineering.
Every building presents a different RF environment.
At Cranbrook Schools, the architecture of the campus played a direct role in how WZC approached AP on a Stick testing and Wi Fi design validation.
The goal is not simply to confirm that a signal exists. It is to understand how the building affects coverage and use that field data to make better AP placement decisions before the permanent network is installed.
That is why real world validation matters.
